Amazing wine and spirits selections. The grazing platter was FANTASTIC!!
My husband treated me to this local gem tonight! All of the dishes were appetizing and prepared with great care and attention to detail! Everything was very unique in flavor. We can’t wait to return! Also, shout out to the Chef, Lucy and her super sweet staff! We enjoyed every aspect of our visit!
This was my second time having lunch here. Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way first. It’s very pricey for lunch. Definitely not your typical place to grab lunch. Our lunch for 4 was over $170. Now let’s move on to the good stuff. The food is amazing! Everything we ordered was perfect. The deviled eggs are wonderful. The bread and butter is a must. The house made gnocchi was out of this world amazing! The basil infused crème brûlée was a little odd at first bite but definitely worth a try as it finished our lunch up very perfectly.
The appetizers were delicious and so was the bread and butter. The bread came with two infused butters. The service was great, food had a great presentation, restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. My only complaint is that my Duck Confit was wildly misrepresented in the description. It was basically a salad with shredded duck. I did not enjoy it. My friends, however, had great entrees.
My daughter, sister and I try this place for lunch. We like to try new places when we get together. The waitress was very pleasant but all 3 of us agree that the food wasn't very good.Very expensive lunch menu.Small salad with burnt chicken $17. Small chicken sandwich on hard bread/bun?? & chips with no favorite $16. Daughter asked if she could have a half order of the devils eggs and side chicken but they couldn't do, $13. for 6 devil eggs (3eggs). I give her burnt chicken from my salad, and my sister & I shared the chicken sandwich, the table came in after us look to received half of order the eggs. Anyway we all shared to try everything. We weren't pleased with any of the food. The waitress was very nice, the restaurant and scenery around the area is beautiful but the food was awful and we left hungry. I'm guessing the good reviews must be from the dinner menu customer's.We tried, wasn't impressed, won't go back.
Dried out pork chop, burnt chips, meager cheese board, leaf salad with teaspoonful of dressing , slow service horribly overpriced.Never again.
Disappointed. I've been here several times, but each time the menu becomes less and less interesting and the service lowers in quality. Went here for dinner tonight with a friend with the hopes that the last few times were a fluke and our experience was so poor I had to leave this note to warn others looking for a good local dining experience. The menu had very few things that actually looked good, and was wildly overpriced. I settled on the gnocchi because they did not have the pork chop and I was served seven. Yes seven pieces of gnocchi for $23. No protein. Just 7 gnocchi, as a meal. In the past cocktails were good, this time I ordered the sunset and it was filled so high with ice that it was gone in 2 pulls of the straw. They even charged $6 for 2 slices of bread. My guess is this place is in financial pain and it is showing in their menu, food, and service. To top it off, our server was unattentive and showed no concern with our contentment as patrons. That was our final visit to Red Door.
Was excited to have dinner with a friend tonight, and we both loved the idea of The Red Door. We have been here a few times prior to this evening, and each time the quality and amount of food has changed. I have ordered the Brussel sprouts each time because the first time they were amazing! Tonight’s serving were the worst! They lacked taste and have totally changed from the first visit in style of being cooked. I understand the menu changes often, but the menu for this week lacks an easy choice of what to order when nothing sounds exciting to eat! The quality of food, food portion, and service was very off tonight. I understand inflation is hitting all businesses and industries, but to charge patrons $23.00 for 7 small pieces of pesto Gnocchi without any protein is ridiculous. Also, as an app, my fiend and I ordered the bread and butter. You pay $6.00 for two slices of bread and butter. Just leaving this honest review for others to lower their expectations if they plan to dine here soon.
Sadly our large group reservation celebrating a graduation was a major disappointment. The servers were all very pleasant but service was slow. The food took forever to come out the portions were VERY small for the pricing. It was quite embarrassing how long it took for appetizers and meals to come out. Some of our guests finished their meal before others were even served theirs. We didn’t have the patience to even stay for coffee.
