Wonderful food, great service. Will definitely return.
This was our second time back to Ovation. Our last experience in Davenport was not so good and the owner took care of us. We could not make it back to Davenport, so we went to the Lakeland location. The service was great, the food was very good and it definitely made up for our previous experience.
Great food and service. Lillie was very attentive to our needs, was quick to answer any questions about the food. She kept our drinks full without ever having to ask for a refill. The chicken wings appetizer was great and the steak was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Will definitely be back as we had a great time. Great food, service, and atmosphere. I will ask for Lillie when we return as she was one of the best servers we have ever had.
A reasonable expectation is to have control of temperatures, plating and overall good value, unfortunately this was far from our experience. Service staff was superb, and drink staff served good drinks. The food, and we had many apps and plates, less the pretzel bread, was interstate gas station quality.
Not to bad. The Food was good but the service was okay... To start off, we over heard another table ask for bread so we asked for some as well. The server brought it out to us with no problem. One would think if you're going to offer bread while a customer waits for food, the customer shouldn't have to ask for it. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Plenty of parking. Food Portion size was good as well. We'll have to try another location to compare service. In my opinion if my service is great, I'll come back even if the food as good as another place. My experience is important
The people at the bar were extraordinarily loud; a virtual shouting match.
First visit. Overall disappointed by the atmosphere, service and food. Server seemed to have a hard time hearing the customers over the dining room conversations, which caused incorrect orders. Booths and tables weren't comfortable. Burger and chicken breasts were extremely dry, fries weren't fresh, no presentation, and we waited over 30min for our main course. Appetizers were okay but the main entrees were a huge disappointment. We shared the feedback with our waitress and the management offered a free dessert for our troubles. You don't know until you try a place. I hope you have a more pleasant experience, it just wasn't in the cards for us.
We used to love this restaurant; however, this was our first time back since COVID. The service was wonderful. I highly recommend the french onion soup. However, the balance of our experience was terrible. Many of the servers hung out at the bar and were quite loud - definitely carrying the noise into the dining room. My husband and son ordered the prime rib, medium. One came out medium well - the other order came out past well done. It was the end cut that had definitely cooked for quite a while. I ordered mahi-mahi, which was quite dry. Based on our total tab of $140 for food and tip - I would highly recommend going somewhere else.
Robbie is an amazing server and he made sure we had everything we needed. Also Robbie made wonderful suggestions for options to try.
Steak Wedge salad was mediocre, bit into a rotten grapes tomato and 4oz steak was tough & varying degrees of rare to medium well, despite ordering medium rare. Buffalo Chicken sandwich was really good Lobster Mac n cheese not worth the additional charge. Overall...probably not going to revisit.
