Service is good. Everything is new/clean and the food is fresh. I gave it a 4 because I have had better Roman in the local area, but this place is still pretty good. Worth a try.

Really good. I liked it the best out ☺️ f the other local ramen places I have tried. The decor and dinnerware was cool. The food was good and was a good value for the money. Clean space and was not too crowded when we went.

The place is so cute and definitely gives you that cool Japan vibe! The vases on the wall are beautiful and they have anime playing on one tv(when I went they had Naruto on :D) and a regular show on the other, it's a great place to come with your anime loving friends if your into Japanese food. Even the plates are elegant :))) and the food is very good I would definitely recommend <3 (*'▽'*)(≧∀≦)(๑・̑◡・̑๑)

This place was so delicious! We got the pork potstickers as an app and they were perfect. Pictured is the #21 garlic lovers ramen. Delicious!!! Lots of food and decently priced. Our waitress was really sweet also. Definitely recommend!

I tried only the appetizers but everything was very good.I specifically had the tempura, takoyaki, karaage, the buns, and the gyoza. I liked the takoyaki the most.

Solid addition to the area. Had Gyoza and chicken kaarage for an appetizer, both were very tasty. The batter on the chicken was light and the plating was welcoming. For the ramen, I had the garlic lover tonkotsu, which was great as well. I don't know if I liked the tomatoes on top, I didn't feel like it mixed well woth everything else personally, but everything else tasted great. The Chashu was tender and well seasoned, the noodles were cooked well, and the broth had plenty of umami flavors. My biggest gripe about the restaurant was the time it took to get anything. It was a five minute wait before we were even acknowledged to get a seat and ten minutes to get a menu. After that it was about an hour before we got our ramen, though the appetizers came out pretty quickly after ordering. Though it was the first day the place had opened, so I'm sure the time will come down a lot over time. Overall, this is certainly a great place to try if you love ramen that will only get better over time.

This is my new favorite ramen joint! Great atmosphere and amazing food. Come early to beat the lunch rush, they get busy fast.

One of the best Ramen experiences I have had in a long time. The restaurant was super cute, great art and wall mural. The food was PHENOMENAL and I'm looking for any excuse to go back so I can try everything!!!! Go right now if you like ramen!

Oksumi Ramen is a great new addition to South Lakeland! The service is quick & friendly, the design of the menu makes it super simple to make your selection and the food is incredibly yummy! I look forward to my next visit! Check it out!

First let me start off by saying I was very excited that a dedicated ramen restaurant was coming to Lakeland.Sadly I was very quickly let down by my experience. The restaurant has little to no atmosphere to speak of with the exception of a mural on the wall. The inside feels very much like one of those cheap quick service hibachi places you go for lunch.I went on Sunday afternoon around 2pm.The place was busy but not packed. There was no one there to greet people at the door and no instructions on how to be seated. So after about 2 minutes of standing around we decided to seat ourselves. We sat for over 20 mins with no one approaching our table even though we could see the staff running food and talking behind the counter.I finally approached a server behind the counter and asked if we could get service. She seemed annoyed at my asking but followed me back to the table and took our order in a rush.We then waited another 45 mins to get our two orders of basic ramen.Even at some of the higher end ramen places in Tampa and Orlando I’ve never waited so long for ramen. Then the food finally came and my suspicion was fully confirmed. The broth was as basic as it could be.It was passable but just barley. The noodles were fine. The pork you could tell had very little to no prep to it. Not much flavor. Wasn’t cooked especially well. The egg that’s supposed to be a little running was pretty much solid.I’ve had better ramen from quick service food trucks. In fact, come to think of it, I’m not sure if I’ve had ramen that was this sub par from any establishment. It wasn’t inedible by any means. But if you are coming here for quality ramen you will be disappointed. When it came time to pay I usually just pay by card but I happened to have a $20 bill on me so I assumed I could just use the 20 and pay the rest by card.NO ONE ON STAFF COULD FIGURE OUT HOW TO SPLIT PAYMENT TYPES.That seems like a bare minimum for register work. But maybe I’m missing the point.Maybe this place is just supposed to be a quick service restaurant to simply scratch your ramen itch. But if that is the case you shouldn’t expect for your entire meal to take upwards of an hour and a half to complete.I want places like this to succeed.Lakeland needs more culture added to its food scene. But if what we are getting is horrible service and sub par quality food then it may just be a big waste of time.Sadly I doubt I will ever come back here again.
