We stopped because we love Irish pubs (We are Irish). It was 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon. There was only one other patron in the place. We sat at the bar and talked with him and the bartender about the history of the building. No one really knew, but it was a nice chat. I wish between "Average" and "Very Good" there was a "Good" rating because that's what I would rate Molly McHugh's. I also have never smoked but I think there should be smoking bars for those that want to smoke. I probably wouldn't go in to them too often but if someone wants to own one and someone wants to patronize one it should be their choice.
Molly's is a great neighborhood pub. It's the kind of place where the bartenders know your drink and have it ready for you by the time you reach the bar. Excellent service, good drinks, and love music most weekends. Don't miss trivia night on Wednesday!
I didn't have any alcohol was there the food was really good the service was good I asked for hot sauce and got habanero sauce so I don't know what that was other than that I give you five star
Great service and quality beer... Highly recommend!
Wasn't able to stay long because the dude I was with told me to come inside the bathroom with him and we got kicked out right away. I no longer see him because he's a complete loser but the place in general seemed cool. I love live music anywhere but I definitely would like to come back and try this place again- they have a huge bar and an outside seating area. (add me on Facebook!)
A bit of a dive bar. The drinks were ok. We didn't eat. We were just passing through and decided to stop. Would I go again.. No. But if you are a locally I guess its an Ok hang out. I would not recommend stopping for just passing through.
Great beer selection. 20 oz mugs. No short pour. Good price. Going back for corned beef and cabbageGreat neighborhood. Making it my place.
In our ongoing tour of Irish Pubs in Central Florida, we visited Molly McHugh’s, a gem of a pub. Walking up, you get the vibe with green pain, a map of Ireland on the outside wall and the sound of laughter, music and conversation drifting out. Walking in and you are in Ireland. Beer and pub signs everywhere. Home feeling paintings and trinkets everywhere and a massive bar and liquor wall behind the bar. They have a nice selection of Irish whiskey (the standards like Jamieson with some other better off brands). Nice beer and above all, friendly conversation. They also have live music in the side room, which I know has to be good, this is a place we will be sure to come back to visit,
Alex was AWESOME, and the atmosphere was electric! I will definitely be back!
Fantastic atmosphere & authentic Irish vibe! Great beer choices, especially the Magners Cider which is the best dry cider from Ireland! Prices are very reasonable for a full 20oz pint! The decor is super fun and they had some live music on a Friday night. Really nice outdoor patio set up in the back with lights as a quieter place to chat with friends if the inside is too loud. The bartenders were amazing! Make this a stop if you're in Lakeland and want to feel like your actual in an Irish Pub!
