My family and I tried a variety of flavors at May Day ice cream located within the Joinery in Lakeland. If you are in the area, I highly recommend trying it out. Waffle cones are huge or you can opt for a cup. They also have a 4 scoop sampler! Highly recommend.
I got The Aviator. Very delicious! Definitely recommend it. Also they got new flavors for spring.
Excellent choice for those who are looking for dairy free ice cream. Tried the toasted coconut and almond butter chocolate chip. Did not taste like dairy free but my stomach said it had no dairy, thank goodness lol.
This ice cream is so good my heart yells “MayDay! MayDay!” as it falls into a happy coma! Whether it’s because the store is actually called MayDay or because that’s what is repeated when a plane is crashing, is yet to be figured out.I have to say, I am so picky about ice cream. There aren’t many things I’m picky about- I’m a pretty chill person (a casual pun), and I really like to try stuff so I’m open to most things. But when it comes to ice cream I have a very high standard just because of how watered down the market is. Let me tell you- MayDay passes the test time and time again. Aces it, in fact!They have super fun flavors that aren’t at your regular old ‘scream shop. Like coffee & donuts, dirty chai, toasted coconut, and other fun-ly named screams that are also changing up from the mainstream.When you check out with your cold delight, they also offer you the choice of HOUSEMADE SPRINKLES or a little wafer cookie. Yep, that’s right- they make their owns sprinkles and they are fire!! Such an amazing little detail. Fortunately too, you can take home this amazing ice cream in to-go pints and rep a MayDay pin while you walk it. There’s a reason that this place always has a long line when you walk into the Joinery. They the real deal.
It's in the Joinery and is probably the best spot in there. They had a wide range of interesting flavors and a nice staff behind the counter.I got two-flavor combo, cookies & cream and smores, and both were very good. It is a very creamy ice cream which was awesome. They make their own sprinkles and threw in a mini waffle to complement the ice cream.Definitely worth a try.
I visited The joinery with the fam and after all having dinner we notice this ice cream place and it caught our attention. To my benefit they had dairy free ice cream and I ordered the Almond butter chocolate and Pistachio Moon and they were delicious. The service was great, and the flavors as well, will be going back.
Mayday Ice Cream is delicious! It's a popular place so there is usually a line but it moves fast. A little pricey but they have a great selection of flavors. The sprinkles are handmade and delicious! Highly recommend.
Lake is literally the best person on the planet and I love her to pieces! Excellent friend, Excellent manager. Being associated with ice cream is a plus when befriending me lol I loved the ice cream here before I met Lake but the two mutually benefit each other for sure.Customers: please be patient with food service people, it’s more stressful than you will (fortunately for you) ever know.The staff is awesome! Incredibly generous people. Both Megan and Lake have given me ice cream samples on a bad day. Also they give the best hugs. If I could give this place 1000 stars I would.
Amazing place would recommend to anybody and I mean absolutely anyone. Flavors were on point amazing service and very kind hilarious workers. By far my favorite ice cream place of all time!
Absolutely LOVE Mayday Ice Cream! My caramel apple pie had REAL apple chunks in it! Quality ingredients and nothing tasted over powering. A definite must try!
