Super good 5 stars for the cooks but the CLERK INSIde super nasty and smart with me when he started over charging from the bill originally and I asked is the price not the one on the ticket? He said IN THIS STATE WE pay taxes like ok but don't disrespect the patrons coming it was a simple question that could've been worded differently especially if your charging 3 dollars more just say your pocketing it bc it already had taxes included on the original bill 25.49 to be exact from 23 dollars from the original total. These people are sneaky and dishonest PAYING CLIENT AND YOU DIsrespect me by getting caught taking money I'll take my money elsewhere gave me a sour taste in my mouth
I just bought tacos for my son and I and when I got home, the rest of the family was mad. So it's back to La Calentana for 25 more..... we just love this place!!
The tacos here at La Calentana are perfect. No matter what meat you choose you will not be disappointed. It is a great place to experience true Mexicano comida
I took my family here at the very least once a week for the last three months and I can honestly say I won't be coming back again. The last 3 times I ordered they got it wrong and just assumed on what I wanted and I got what they gave me.. Every time before that was great but the let down this time was ridiculous. I'm going to the one on Wabash and Geroge Jenkins.
We showed up with 15-20 people after doing a motorcycle parade. They cranked out food super fast and very efficiently.Everyone was pleased with everything ordered. Definitely a well oiled machine.
I’ve only been here twice and both times were great in my opinion. The tacos are pretty good for a fair price. I always get Asada tacos or Birria tacos and some vanilla or caramel churros, haven’t been disappointed!
Good Mexican food. We had sopes and they were good, they had everything cheese, cream, avocado, lettuce salsa red or green. They sell Mexican dishes, tacos and other items. There is a small grocery store also. They have outside seating.
I don't know where these tacos are "authentic" from. I think every Mexican restaurant in the State Florida has 4 to 5 star reviews. The meat on these tacos was the cheapest and weirdest tasting carne asada i've ever had. My husband had a "burrito"... wow... we both had cramps and stomach pain right after eating. Never again... If you want at least eatable good tacos that don't get you sick, just go across the street.
I've reviewed this roadside stand before, except it used to be called La Michoacana. Just posting for the potentially confused. Still great food, still good prices. Tried the barbacoa (lamb) for the first time this time out, will definitely get that again. It's an hour drive for me and so worth it.
Food was really good and authentic! My only drawback was you have to go place your order, go inside to pay, then go back to the pick up where originally ordered. It was raining so we had to keep going in and out and dirt and mud was a mess so next time I'll choose a sunny day, but there will be a next time!
