Went to Fat Jack's with my brother just the other day between 11:30 and 12:00. I'm not one to put out a bad review but sometimes things need to be said. I have lived in Lakeland all my life and have gone to Fat Jack's quite a few times in the past. But I haven't been in a long while since this time. I had a turkey Reuben which was good with french fries. My brother had the bacon cheeseburger with baked beans and potato salad. He said the cheeseburger was good but potato salad was very bland and the baked beans seem like they came out of a can. Both Pepsi's tasted flat. The restaurant needs a thorough cleaning. It felt very grimy. Even the air quality seemed dirty. Floor was filthy The waitress was friendly but not very attentive. Hate to say I will not go back. Please clean and sanitize!
I wanted to try here for quite awhile and finally did. I went to their online menu and called to make a takeout order. The menu shows for their daily specials they are available from 4-9, I was told the specials aren’t available until 5, I stated the menu states 4. I was told the online menu was wrong. I stated it should be corrected then. 2 weeks later it still says Specials available 4-9. I ordered twice in that week for 2 specials that were advertised for $6.29. Both times I was charged more then that. On the second visit I again was charged more then the advertised $6.29 and I brought it to the lady’s attention. She said the prices had gone up. I stated but the online menu lists it at $6.29, you have to honor that price. She started to try and correct it but never did. I told her she needs to fix it cause that’s kinda cheating the customer, she said they would. 2 weeks later and I just checked it and still the same, incorrect prices and Specials still show available from 4-9. This is fraud and customer deception, so be careful when ordering take out Specials! I wonder how many people have been scammed on this dishonesty!

The ultimate greasy spoon diner! You’ll find big portions and plenty of no-frills charm here. Stopped by for a quick lunch and had really speedy, friendly service. I tried the Original Sloppy Jack which was surprisingly perfect! The soft bun was a great companion to the roast beef and gravy, with a fresher bite from the cole slaw on top. Can’t beat the price, either!
I have been wanting to eat here every time I pass it for the last 3 years. Finally tried it today and it was totally worth it! Coney style triple decker and fries. Drink is huge. Only drawback was our table right at the entrance on a cold day and the waitress forgetting refills. Otherwise we will be back.
They’ve been around for decades and have perfected breakfast and lunch. They will treat you like family and your food will never be anything but delicious. The prices are amazing too. You can eat breakfast incredibly cheap and it always hits the spot.

Ya know, when Lox is on a Menu one would think that BECAUSE OF THE UNIQUENESS OF SUCH A POSSIBLE CHOICE THEY WOULD ALMOST GUARANTEE IT WOULD BE AVAILABLE!!WRONG!!One morning I intentionally chose to have a business meeting based on their Lox and eggs potential. To make it more annoying I was there on a Friday so, well some places gear up for menu selections due to the idea of Fish on Fridays.NOT HERE!!!YES, I WAS ANNOYED!!!I ended up ordering a 3 egg cheese omelet and realized that probably the only way "eggs" was attached to the selection was when the "eggs" word was attached to what was presented was when the word was seen on the box of what was probably powder!!!I suffered through my selection as my business partner did enjoy his Farmer type selection.Someday I'll return for one of their "famous" sandwiches but they'll probably be out of bread!!!?
