The best place to order from. Very polite,friendly,and courteous people that work there I will keep coming and getting their fantastic food.

I have always enjoyed stopping by when I'm in town. The other day I did just that. Stopped and ordered a pound of fried gizzards and a bottled water. Waited quite a while in the drive thru. When ready to pay I was SHOCKED when I was told my order was $18 and I never got my bottled water either. Prices on the drive thru are not updated. I like this little joint but I won't be back anytime soon @current prices.
After 22 years of living in Lakeland, I finally tried country chicken and fish today. I have to say, I don’t know if the holy grail has a taste, but this must come pretty close.  My wife and I both had fish sandwiches. Portions are HUGE! You know a place is a good value when they have to tape the box closed. The okra tastes like they bread it in house. Now we can’t wait to go back and try the chicken.  I had no idea what I was missing!!
I Only Gave 1 Star So I Can Leave A Review. I ordered gizzards, chicken wings, and chicken tenders none of it was cooked all the way. The chicken was still pink and the gizzards tasted like I was eating a fruit snack because it was sooooo chewy. The tenders was the most undercooked for it to be fried it sure was wet and half cooked. But to top it off the cake was HORRIBLE.. It tasted stale and very similar to a dry biscuit. I would rate this a 3/10.
First I would like to say their food is really great but I just experienced a not so great visit the staff was unprofessional screaming out the order -window being very rude it made me feel uncomfortable to order my food it was said that the drive through was closed after I had waited for 40mins due to not even taken my order yet” I’m very disappointed they slammed the door in my face. Once I got to the the window to tell them it was rude to speak that way the staff got louder & was pulled to the back by the ( owner/manager)they’ve truly just lost me as a consistent customer! Poor customer service I would give no stars if I could !
Chicken wings are straight pressure! You'll try to eat 20 of them, but there FULL size wings... The fish is ok, we prefer the batter over the corn meal. Shrimp was cooked to perfection. Collards are a hard pass, tasted canned and not even Glory's. Compared to Riverside, this Country Chicken 'n Fish tastes better and is less expensive!Update (5/18/22) My 6-year old who normally loves their fish and fries complained about the taste which made me sample. Make sure you inquire on when the last grease change happened before ordering. I spent $38 today and the food was HORRIBLE! Everything tasted like old, reused-to-death oil. It was very pungent and overpowering. We absolutely HATE wasting food, so we deboned the chicken and fed everything to the dogs. (Reduced rating from 4-stars to 3-stars).

The food is always very good but the wait time is a Killer. I REALLY wanted some gizzards but had to pull out of the line because I had been waiting for almost 30 minutes. I'll go back when I have Time to spare.
BEST PLACE FOR TAKE OUT CHICKEN, HUSH PUPPIES, LIVERS, GIZZARDS AND SWEET TEA!!!! All the ladies are great here, been going here for over 20 years. Call ahead ordering is easy, great job to ladies here at country chicken n fish!!!
