Our order was a 16-piece mixed chicken. We received a box of eight pieces of "white" chicken & a box with eight pieces of dark chicken. Or so we thought.Two of my white pieces were actually backs. As I'm the one who eats the white chicken and this was to be lunch for a few days? I was very disappointed.
Typical churches. Doesn't really care about costumer service. Just making do attitudes. Very upsetting to see when you want churches fried chicken, when you know it can be so.much better! Can't find another churches around in Lakeland! So , this all we can get as a consumer.
The line was out the door and for 1 family size okra it took 10 more minutes after 25 waiting already. We were there for 35 minutes total until I walked out with my little thing of over and I don't even think it was family size because I stayed in the car while my husband went in to get it for me since he knew he was going to have to stand forever.
Not impressed. Extremely hot & muggy inside with little or no AC available. Staff seemed very unorganized & running all over the place. Couldn't really tell who's cooking & who the cashier's were. I ordered a 3 piece chicken dinner with a large lemonade. Even with the heat of the interior, the chicken & chicken skin was cold & dried, like ceramic tiles. Like it'd been over cooked hours before. Lemonade had no ice & tasted funny. I'll never go back. Waste of money.
That was so good I almost threw away my iPhone. Small but pleasant place, thank goodness there's decent parking because Lakeland doesn't seem to have much parking. The staff was friendly and they - really - make superb food. Total yum!
Young that was at the front taking oder have no customer respect. And whoever was sitting in the office I guess I that what you would call it, was very ghetto and loud very loud! Customers coming in it was getting crowded in stead of coming out the office to help the young man up front just being loud and ghetto. Also fly's was inside sitting on the chicken. I just walked out, my days for this place is over and done with.
Restaurant looks sketchy, never have spicy chicken, pretty sure person taking my order, was hearing voices. She kept responding to things I never said.
The guy helping was a 100% customer service guy, very professional, friendly, attentive we need more people like him. I didn't ask his name but I remember his face.
This particular location has a few good days and many bad days. The last time I purchased from this Church's chicken restaurant will be the last time. I don't know what was wrong but the mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese tasted strange. The side food items were not hot, I believe that the food was left outside of refrigeration or proper heating for too long and became spoiled. The chicken had no flavor or seasoning (this is a common occurrence). Half of the batch of biscuits are over-over baked. Things we're better when it was corporate owned, perhaps it is franchise owned again. All in all, the food was nasty, the store building is dilapidated and very dirty. I could do a much better job than current store ownership.
Absolutely love the fried chicken that these people make! Love to get a couple jalapeños to add some zing.The people working there are fun too, I have some food and a bit of lightheartedness at once.I love everything big and spicy!!
