Awesome place! Donuts are made fresh and to order. So many fun flavors! Staff is friendly and helpful. Wasn't able to wait long enough to take a picture before hubby and I dug in xD
We have always enjoyed the quality of the donuts here but when we ordered (3) 16 packs vanilla icing with baseball designs and showed up to pick up the donuts, the store advised we were to pay an additional $10 for the “custom” design. It’s one thing to explain the charges when the order was placed and another to say surprise it gonna cost you more when you are there to pick them up.
I got the 16 doughnut box and all of them have been delicious! Maple was on point, Oreo is always bomb, powdered sugar was extra powdered, and the ones others ate they loved too. The doughnuts are soft and not a bit dry. The toppings were put on beautifully. The lady working was nice. Made my coffee for me to enjoy while she decorated the doughnuts. The redeye did it’s job and woke me right up. Thank you!

Well, friends. Another review. Let's talk about Charlie's Mini Donuts in Lakeland. One word. Devine. I'm a donuts guy. Donuts, to me, are a science. To get the right consistency on the fry with a toasted outer layer crunch and a soft pillowy center is not easy. The key is the temperature of the oil. These guys nailed the donut. My coworker brought in a variety pack...Omg. rice crispy, Oreo, Boston creme, jelly, cocoa krispies, maple bacon, fruity pebbles, coconut. There are so many flavors. Let's talk about two specific ones...First, the maple bacon. Shut the front door! The donut was perfect. The bacon had the right consistency, lil crispy but just right chew. The maple glaze, wow. You can taste the maple, right amount of powdered sugar. Fantastic donut. Second, the Oreo donut. It tastes like a Oreo. The creme was just like the vanilla center of the Oreo. From what I understand they use actual Oreo, pulsated to a dust. Absolutely unreal. I support all types of businesses but sweets are a key to my heart. @ Charlie's Donuts, you need a location towards Tampa area. Friends, give this place a try. Want to start off saying we love this place and in the past have had nothing but exceptional service.. however, recently, we have noticed the owner has not been in and the staff doesn’t seem to have the same desire to deliver the quality we have become accustomed to.When we entered there were 3 other guests, my husband and I ordered a 25 pack. The young girl at the counter didn’t take our name but I figured maybe they had a different way of keeping track. One gentleman that was there didn’t get his coffee, another lady had a large order and they only gave her half & based on the convo amongst the workers they had already started their closing process so she had to wait for more donuts to be cooked. After sitting for 25 minutes one of the young ladies asks if we are waiting on anything. Apparently they threw away our order and we’re skipping orders. It was really just a disappointment. One of the employees that reprinted our order seemed to be in charge to some degree and apologized and offered us free coffee, however the two younger girls working the front were constantly arguing with the other one in charge and just were overall unprofessional.This is still a great spot and we would still recommend but hopefully the owner sees this and will reconsider his current staff and make some adjustments.
Had 3 Donuts and coffee with the wife and both where good. Our favorite was the maple bacon. The s’mores had a little to much topping but other then that it was good! Price was fair for what you get, will be back again
The gluten-free donuts are absolutely magical! After 3 years and giving up on ever having a good donuts again this place was recommended by a lovely young lady who works there. Not only were the donuts good but I had no reaction whatsoever....which means they did everything right to prevent cross contamination! My family also said the regular donuts were awesome. First time ever. Donuts are super cute. My only issue was that my donuts were prepared with the toppings while the donuts were still quite hot. So the frosting melted everywhere making the donuts mushy and hard to pick up. I did try the less melted ones and the were delicious. Unfortunately, the donuts were denied by guests at my home.
