The food and service were both excellent. The rainbow "jelly" bean drink was my favorite of what I ordered; it was creamy, and the jelly and bean sweets in it were a nice variety of textures. The Monday special crab vermicelli soup was also very good, but the pork(?) in it was a little too fatty in my opinion. The pandan coconut waffle would have been better if I ate it freshly cooked, but since I got takeout, it wasn't crispy on the outside.I wish they had more photos on their online takeout menu though.Edit: demoting the rating to 4 stars because two people who are with me got sick immediately after eating one of the dishes I didn't eat.
Finally a Vietnamese restaurant near my home & a VERY good one at that. A bit noisy for me at lunchtime so I go between 1:30-3. Or order for dinner delivery.The homemade drinks are delicious and I like the sandwiches. I don't eat a lot at lunch time so I don't have Pho, etc., but the descriptions sound delicious. I do want to try the beef stew some Wednesday morning and hopefully it will be as good as I used to get in Little Vietnam in LA & Vietnamese Town in Orange County & San Francisco. Absolutely love it with the French roll. Everyone at Yen's is personable & accommodating.

This place is amazing!! Very welcoming, friendly service and is absolutely delicious!! My new favorite lunch spot. They also have snacks and desserts you can grab & go. I looovvvee mung bean desserts it’s so unique and hard to find unless you’re in a specialty Asian market

Had a very nice lunch, great cup of espresso with condensed milk, bowl of good pho, excellent egg rolls and a different version of green papaya salad than I'm used to.All delicious. The owner chatted with me for a while. Not sure how to spell his name but it sounds like Mon.Can't wait to go back and check out the secret menu and the 72 hour marinated pork chop lunch.

My goodness I love this place! Mahn and Tracey are wonderful, and they are so passionate about making their mother Yen's dream of having a restaurant come true! This is the kind of place you walk out of thinking wow I'm happy to support a business like this. Their food is incredible I always get the beef Phó, but everything we've ever ordered has been delicious. We always feel super welcomed, and the atmosphere is comfortable and cool. I can't say enough good things about it. Pro tip: ask Mahn to surprise you with a special drink, he is always coming up with new and creative drinks that may not even be on the menu - you won't regret it!
What an amazing restaurant this is! We ordered the pandan waffles, which were fluffy and fresh, the Spring roll, fried chicken rice combo, and the shaking beef combo. Everything was so incredibly delicious, even the rice that came on the side. I’ll be dreaming about that chicken until next year when I visit Florida again. (The owner explained that it’s cooked in broth for hours and then hand-ladled with super hot oil to achieve maximum crispiness.) You can really taste the love and authentic flavors of Vietnam in the dishes! The owner, Manh, is so inviting and passionate, explaining that this restaurant was a gift for his mother, whose dream was to open a restaurant in America. She proudly cooks the meals here.One last thing- I loved that their desserts and drinks are displayed in the refrigerated case, so you can see what you’d like to get easily.I can’t wait to come back!! I hope you’ll come here and check it out yourself. Manh, I wish you and your family continued success! (And if you decide to open up a second location in Princeton, NJ, I wouldn’t be mad at that!)
This place has a charming atmosphere for such a small restaurant in a relatively nondescript strip mall. We ordered a lot of food and everything was excellent. The service we got was even better. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in offering explanations and suggestions. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning myself.
