Is an amazing location, with ample parking, and a full dining room. Plus the bathrooms are huge! Everything is very clean and the staff is incredibly attentive. The food is fresh, although I definitely think it does need hot sauce on it as it is under seasoned for my palette. The decor is vibrant and the '90s music is nostalgic. They always have some special going on every day of the week, and 10% off if you are a teacher anytime.
Now I ordered a 2 for $20 that is a new Monday Special. It comes with 2 drinks, extra sauce, and entrees. When the order was delivered it didn’t have the sauce or the drinks. I called the restaurant, spoke with the manager and he said I would receive a free entree on my next visit. So I asked if it would come with a drink, since I paid for two with my last order. Surprisingly he said it did not come with a drink. When questioned he said those drinks were free with my last order. Now I don’t want to get picky, but when you order a combo meal, the price of the entire order is discounted as a sum total of the items in the order. He said to just ask for a manager and request the drinks. It’s just doesn’t seem right to request something that was not included in my last order which is the entire reason I made the call. I don’t need to be placated to. A just resolution is all I was asking for. Imagine I get a free entree but I have to beg for the drinks. How ironic.
I usually visit this Tijuana Flats once a week when I’m between calls for work. It’s a nice fast-casual stop where on Tuesdays they have a two taco special & Thursdays they run a burrito special. Make the sour cream & cheese powerlite to shed some calories. The sauce bar has choices for all pallets. See you there.
Ordered curbside got none of the 3 salad dressing I ordered and payyed for my wife's salad. So I had to drive back to get them. Then when I get home and got to my burrito none of the toppings were inside other than chicken, no jalapeños no beans no lettuce no cheese no onion no hot sauce or sour cream. I asked for all these items on my order. I don't feel like I should have to open my burrito to look inside of it to make sure i got what i ordered. Save yourself the hassle of this location and go to the boynton beach location they are on point and get your food correct.
I ordered two steak nachos amongst other meals, and when I got home I couldn't even find a spoon full of steak. More chips then anything else. I always ordered an extra side of beans that wasn’t in the bag, My order totaled $51.00. Very disappointing. I showed up at 8:30pm they close at 9:30 but this, I thought, would been enough time to cook a to go order.
Good lunch with the two taco dish.Missing 5th star was because of pickup mix up. Nowhere in the app is there a way to let them know you've pulled into the parking lot.I waited for ten minutes before walking in to ask about my order. It had been ready and sitting for... about ten minutes.The manager (seemingly) said apologeticly that there was no way to tell when I got there.However, there's only two pickup spaces, in plain view from where he was sitting. And if he couldn't have see from there, then he could've at least made an effort every five minutes after my order was ready to see if I was there.It's like he knew better but didn't really care. :/
I’ve lived in this area about seven years and love having a Tijuana Flats close by, but loved it even more today! The servers were so sweet and their positive energy turned my evening around. They just made a huge difference in my day and I really appreciate it.
Staff was very, very nice. Near the end of my taco and burrito chicken meal, I had thankfully noticed this piece of beef in my taco. Never eat mammals. Was on a long trip. Tired. Sat outside. Just took off. Please be more mindful.
Welllll... I did not like the overall experience! Maybe it was just me. The burrito was a lot of tortilla and what I hope was rice, not much beef, I ordered it "Wet" but got it damp "not much queso" and it tasted bland, I ordered a side of sour cream "it was gone in two bites of my meal". The chips were good, a little salty, but good. The order taker made Very sure she got our order right, "She repeated it three times"! The lighting made my food look very unappetizing the green and red lights cast a shadow that made my food look yellow-green... The other two people in my party thought it was Great! That's why I said "maybe it was just me"! I wouldn't say don't go, I would say, "Go and tell everyone what you think via a review". I wish them well in the future and hope they actually listen to the reviews!
Customer service wasn’t great since they took my order wrong but still insisted that wasn’t what I ordered. Food was mediocre. Chips were stale and chewy. Shrimp bowl was bland and rice was soggy.
