My favorite philly in PBC, and you can get it whiz wit. Their burger is also killer (can also get it with whiz). A new regular go to for sure, haven't had a single thing I didn't like so far and they give you a lot custom options for your meals. Prices are great too!
Great food and quick service .. was actually surprised at the quality of beef used for the burgers. Will definitely eat here more often.
Used to eat here all the time. Place had great food, owner and staff were very friendly. Seems new hands and new owners are running the show now. Or should I say ruining the the show. Went in to order my usual, didn't recognize any of the staff. Bunch of children behind the counter too busy in conversation then taking my order. Took longer then usual to get my food, tasted awful. Was nothing like it used to be, fries were not cooked all the way. Sandwich was greasy. I had to move twice to find a table that wasn't sticky, ended up eating out side at a table by the Carvel next-door. Even the soda tasted funny. This place used to be a goldmine, not sure what happened to all the friendly staff and good food. Seems like something is missing here. I won't be back.
Reading reviews I see others have the same problem. The location in DelRay does answer the phone and were more than happy to take an order. Some people like to talk to a person to make sure things are correct, and the ordering on the site is a bit confusing. Also, it seems like it's just another way to get more money out of us. So no one is answering the phone, the orders print upon being placed, seems like they are saving money on someone answering the phone but they are charging a convieniance fee? More like an inconvienience.Greedy owners need to remember that in these times people are more careful about where they spend money and when businesses like this are sneaking fees and not taking phone orders to make sure they get those fees why would anyone give them more business. What's next, are they going to tell us to order online even if it's a walk in?
Got the philly cheese steak, mushroom, and a huge root beer float. The float was great which I drank while they made the sandwich. The sandwich was a little greasy but it was delicious.
I Tried This Place For The First Time And I Loved It I Would Definitely Be Back The Staff At This Restaurant Was So Welcoming And Friendly Thank You All So Much For This Experience I Had The 12Inch Philly All The Way With BBQ Sauce On It And An Order Of The Large ? Cheese Fries Delicious
I would have given a higher review because the food is not bad. However, their customer service is terrible. I have been there to pick up food multiple times and have never received a warm welcome. I normally order over the phone and pick up my food. This last time I called, and someone answered only to tell me they do not take orders over the phone. What? You just picked up the phone! My option was to come in and wait or order online. I chose order online for time purposes because it is really inconvenient to have to sit there and wait when you are getting out of work, have errands to run and children to pick up. When I placed my order online I noticed a "carry out" fee and a "convenience" fee! So you can't jot down my order over the phone but you can charge me to pick up my own food and then have the audacity to charge me again for a convenience fee!? Pass, on the Philly Grill from now on.
The Cheesesteaks were ok, being from Philly I understand our standards when it comes to a good Philly Cheesteak can be rather high. The meat was fine just a little on the light side for a $11 sandwich. What really turned me off was the managers reply when I asked for sweet peppers on the side. He informed me they do not provide sides of condiments. They are free if I get them on my sandwich but he would not put any in a cup so I could just have a few bites here and there. I wasn't asking for more, just whatever amount you would put in my sandwich put on the side. Nope, they don't do that. I know it may seem like a trivial thing, but customer service, and atleast an my opinion, common sense goes along way. I would have probably gone back again if I could just got a few sweet peppers on the side, but think I will try somewhere different next time.
Food is really good, but I tried to call 5 times to place an order, but no answer. I finally had to place it online where I was charged a $2 convenience fee. I got to the restaurant and 4 employees were just hanging out in the completely empty restaurant. I mentioned they may want to get their phone checked because I didn't think calls are going through. The employee looked at me and said "oh, we don't answer the phone anymore." ...In response to your reply: The convenience charge was $1.50 and then a take out fee of $.50. What was the most frustrating is not the charge or having to order online BUT as a new customer I would have no idea that you were not taking phone orders. What if I had had an issue with my online order and needed to reach someone? If no one answers the phone then that is a problem. They can simply answer the phone and let the person know that they no longer take phone orders. That would have been fine. People call for other reasons as well so to just not answer the phone anymore is not a good solution.
Robin at Philly Grill is AMAZING!!!! She is always so professional, kind and courteous! Honestly, if I could give her a million stars instead of just 5 stars I absolutely would because she truly deserves it! She has wonderful customer service skills and always treats everyone with dignity and respect and kindness. I will continue to come back again and again simply because the food is fresh and good and the service is FANTASTIC!!!!
