I have seen a great looking salad advertised, with lettuce, tomatoes, with a nice piece of steak sliced on top with avocado. There was a staff member outside taking orders in our cars. I mentioned the salad I seen advertised and he said, no we don't have that but you can get the tropical chop with lettuce instead of rice. I told him I wanted lettuce and tomatoes with the steak and avocado. He said they had 2 sizes, I asked how big the all was, he said its pretty big, so I decided on that. When I got home and opened my salad, I was very disappointed! I paid $11.00 for lettuce, no tomatoes, hard avocado and 4 tiny pieces of steak!! Im still hungry and I feel like I wasted my money. Could of went to Wendy's and got a great salad, but I wanted to try this salad that was advertised
Terrible customer service. The manager (bad body lady), needs more training. Left a line outside when the store was supposed to open at 10:30am but didn't open until 10:45. When they finally unlocked the doors the cashier took someone first whom just got their. I asked the manager about it and she stated the menu board was down and that there's nothing she could do? I told her, the customer doesn't know that, we were outside waiting on y'all. No sorry. No nothing.
First time at this Pollo Tropical. I decided to try the crispy chicken. First, they gave me steak which I would have taken but the server realized her mistake and made me another Tropichop. The steak has an upcharge so I get why she didn't give it to me but still I hate that it was wasted. I ended up disappointed with the chicken. It tasted good but if you are going to call something "crispy", it should actually be crispy. My chicken was just breast meat with soggy breading. We asked for our Tropichops "all the way" and they didn't put beans. On top of the issues with the food, we asked for one diet drink and one regular. We ended up with two diet which we didn't realize until we got home and tasted them. They need to be more mindful of filling orders correctly.
My family stopped by this pollo tropical at 10:00 and I was there till 10:34p.m tonight and the service was horrible. While placing my order in the drive thru, I informed the guy TWICE that was taking the order I wanted the garlic and salsa and all the toppings EXCEPT tomatoes. Please explain why I had to wait 30 minutes for a kids meal and one tropichop??? There was one person infront of us and she only got one small bag….Why were we just watching your employees just chilling in the lobby talking and not serving customers? Just curious.. Don’t get me wrong the food was good although there was no toppings at all and no sauces, but I will not be returning to this location…
Order a large tropichop on DoorDash but it’s not pollo tropical if your not missing food my tropichop is miss my chicken n jalapeño getting tried of they’re mistakes smh ????
Ordering/menu super confusing, no English!I eat at this chain on occasion, but this location is not like others. I normally order platters or meat options since I’m GF, but the menu displayed had only Cuban sandwiches and tropi-chop displayed. The 3rd screen was empty, so I asked about other menu choices like the “platters” and they looked at me like I was an alien from another planet. I left and went to another restaurant. My suggestion: please display all menu options available so it’s less confusing for those of us that only speak English.
I usually enjoy their food, but the other night was not a good experience. I decided to pick something up after work since it is on the way home. Mind you it's going on 9pm and I'm very tired from working 2 jobs. Went through the drive through but the order was taken by someone standing outside. Everything went smooth, got my food, paid and went home. The problem was with the food itself. I ordered a Tropichop with white rice and chicken and a side salad with extra dressing. The Tropichop was fine, the salad was the issue. First off, no extra dressing as requested. Second, the dressing on the salad was liquid and had leaked in the bag. Lastly, I took two bites and realized the dressing had actually gone bad. It had a vinegar odor to it and an absolutely foul taste. I didn't eat it because I didn't want to get sick. Beware and double check all your food before you leave!
Every time I visit this location, I am met with an incredibly slow drive through and incorrect food. Even when returning the food to get my proper order, we are met with more incorrect food. I mean come on, how many times do we have to say vegetarian tropichop before there’s no chicken on it.
Well, you can tell when management really doesn't care about customers. Nope, won't be going here again. I placed an order online, was told 13 minutes before ready. Got there 20 minutes later, it was hard to get into the parking lot as the line was a quarter mile into the street. Once we parked next door and walked over, we realized the dining room was closed and a sign said to call for pick up orders. We called - immediately no answer and voicemail. Drive thru kid went inside for us and said our order was not ready, we needed to go through the drive thru - which was at least 30 minutes long. We told him we would need a refund and wanted to speak to the manager. He said online orders had to call corporate. That was a lie. I logged back in and corporate said to call store. I called the store and pressed 3 different buttons each time being on hold for 5 minutes before getting an answering machine. I also finally found a number for corporate and again, held for 5 minutes followed by an answering machine. We shall see how long it takes someone to call me back - this is ridiculous and poor all the way around.
So I haven’t ate at this restaurant in a very long time and since I was very close by, I said I will give them a chance again to see based off their customer service and their food and I wish I didn’t go. The first time I got food poison from them, this time around I ordered Yuka bites and they taste like plastic and the choppy chop bowl the rice is literally so mushy it taste like baby food the chicken is just horrible honestly , The avocado is sour and spoiled you can see little white dots on them and all the other stuff that I ask for is not even in the bowl .I wouldn’t even recommend and I should’ve known better to not even come back. I wish the La Grange down the street from them was still open. They don’t deserve at least 1 star. But the gentleman outside standing in the sun Fleddy was nice and polite. The lady at window she needs to be retrained and taught customer service/care.
