We went to dominic’s yesterday for a late lunch with a party of 8. Our waiter was Elijah and everything was fine until 15 minutes had passed of us sitting there and we still hadn’t been asked about drinks. He kept saying hold on and proceeded to serve other people. We also called ahead. Finally we were able to order drinks but halfway through us ordering he walks away to go serve other people. He didn’t return to the table for quite a bit of time so we all figured out what we wanted to eat and were ready to order. As we were ordering we had to keep correcting him on what he was repeating back our orders as. Example: My son asked for two slices of cheese pizza and he repeated back “two slices of pepperoni pizza” then we corrected him and he proceeded to say “two slices of cheese and pepperoni pizza” he wasn’t great at listening. He completely skipped over my husband and grabbed all the menus, when he had yet to order. Then it’s time for the food to come out and half of the meals were forgotten about. The poor manager had to call in his wife to fix this disaster. They didn’t bring out 3 meals, including the slices of pizza which should’ve been brought out first in my opinion. We got asked four times if we got everything and when we said no the waiter would go in the kitchen, then come out and serve other people. After 15 minutes everyone had their food and the food was amazing. Except for the fact that I had to ask three times for pasta that I ordered at the beginning, just for it to come out cold, and uncooked. This was probably the worst service we have ever gotten, especially since we spent over $200. Looking over the bill we realized he didn’t even charge us for drinks, not great business.
The crust on their pizza is excellentCrispy bottom and with lots of air bubbles, it’s light and crispyThe red sauce is just right, and the cheese has not separated it’s oil on a single pie yet. Well done (bought at least 8 pies so far, they’ve been very consistent)
Me and my wife went there for the first time last week. She ordered chicken piccata and I ordered veal marsala. Hers tasted like straight lemon and nothing else. Mine came. Out and was chicken marsala. Waited 25min for my veal to come after letting the waitress know of the mistake. It tasted like it was frozen then thawed in the microwave, very chewy. Veal is supposed to be tender. The waitress was very apologetic. But will not be returning to this establishment sorry.
If I was able, I would have given a minus five star rating. My wife arrived today around 4:30pm. We were greeted by a delightful hostess who asked where we would prefer to sit as the restaurant was wide open (only one other couple were seated in the entire restaurant). We selected a booth between the front door and the kitchen. After we were seated, the manager or the server behind the counter told us we needed to move to the far side of the restaurant. He offered no explanation. We were mortified, walked out and went to another restaurant. The hostess was embarrassed and expressed her apology. We are long standing loyal customers of Dominic’s and until now we’re always treated with the utmost respect. The former manager Matt defined customer service and valued the customer, above all. Too bad this new manager or server behind the counter didn’t learn anything from Matt before Matt moved on to Michigan. I hope this treatment of loyal customers is not the new standard at Dominic’s. But, if it is, there are certainly an abundance of Italian restaurants in the area.
My Grandmother turned 90 and my son turned 4 on the same day. We had Dominics III do the catering and were blown away by the delicious flavors and fresh ingredients used for every single dish!!!Everything was hot, smelled heavenly, tasted amazing, looked mouth wateringly delicious; and it was!!!Thank you so much for making the night even more memorable and perfectly flavored ???We will definitely be coming in for more!!!
I had a gluten free sausage pizzaiolo that was excellent.Service was fantastic as well
I ordered a Margarita pizza. NO fresh basil or fresh slices of cheese. So salty. Barely edible. I’ve had their pizza before and it was good. This is terrible!!!
Great Place for lunch or a dinner!!
Another place going downhill. So sad but I keep giving Dominics another chance and they continue to fail. Starting a few months ago with my burned veal parmigiana I next decided to try the veal Fiorentina. Turns out they bury the bad veal (thick chunky werid textured pieces) under the thick batter in that dish. Inedible . We didn’t go back for a few months . Tried the Fiorentina again and again bad veal buried under the thick batter , inedible. We stopped ordering from there and tonight decided to get a pizza. Requested extra sauce. Barely any sauce on the pizza at all. This has all been takeout. perhaps they don’t appreciate their takeout customers. Don’t worry Dominics we won’t be back to trouble you again
Dominics III has turned into my family restaurant. The entrees are delicious with family size portions. The calamari was the hit of a Christmas Eve Dinner!
