I’m giving it 2 stars because the staff was great. However, so incredibly sad how this fantastic course has declined so steeply. The tee boxes are in awful shape and some of the fairways are almost unplayable, it’s basically hitting off of dirt or sand on more than half of the fairways. Some of the greens are in decent shape(prior to the scheduled aerification) but then some others have dead spots all over them. It truly is disappointing because they have clearly neglected a lot of the course and seem to have no sense of urgency to try to get it back. I hope this course can get back to what it was years ago and it doesn’t end up like some of the other courses that have closed in recent years, such a great layout.
What the heck has happened to this place? Timucuan was a premier golf course in Central Florida. Over the last year it has gone to one of the worst places you can play. Terrible upkeep from tee to green. Even the driving range doesn’t have balls to use and when they do the machine to get them is broken. This course needs new management ASAP.
Trash on multiple tee boxes, greens with as much sand and rough patches as the bunkers, and fairways that haven't seen a mower since the second world war. Not worth the absurd $90 price tag.
I'm giving it a 4 only because the staff deserve a good rating. I love playing here and have been for several years. However, even when this course is at it's most prestige condition. I don't think paying over $60 for a round is worth it. There are fairways where it looks like my backyard. I would not mind playing here all the time if the rates where in $40 range and even $50 when the conditions are great.
I really wish I could give Timacuan a better review, but unfortunately there were a lot of hiccups throughout our wedding planning process. I will say, I'm extremely grateful for the Timacuan team on the day of our wedding (March 5, 2022), they did an excellent job and service was top-notch. The venue is absolutely beautiful. I truly think this venue is a hidden gem here in the Central Florida area.The biggest problem I had with Timacuan was the lack of communication from the get-go. I initially toured with Dana back in May 2021, but once I wanted to sign and pay our deposit with her, it took over a week to get a hold of her. Communication issues persisted until Dana quit in Oct/Nov 2021 and Amber took over. Honestly, I don't blame Amber at all for any issues I had. Amber was trying her best to pick up the mess and slack that Dana had left for her, not to mention their head chef had quit along with Dana. I will say that Dana promised things that weren't able to be executed in the long-run, but they were minor in the grand scheme of things.Nonetheless, our wedding turned out amazing and I would still recommend Timacuan to friends/family with the understanding that they may have to tread lightly.

play 2-1-22. decent course fast green. faster than most high price Orlando area golf courses. Green fee at $55. good course lay out.Play again 2-5-22 4 days later. Practice green was fast on a cold day. But the greens on the course is dead slow!
My fiancé and I booked this venue back in summer 2021 for our wedding in November 2022. In January my fiancé and I wanted to revisit the venue, it was until then we found out the executive chef and the original coordinator had left August 2021 and we were not notify. We were in shocked, but things happened and I made an appointment with the new coordinator with January 2022, she confirmed our appointment and the date. we went there it was days after a wedding and they were now just cleaning up. The place was a total mess and extremely disorganized , Amber was NOT even there for the appointment. One of the girls there tried to help us answer some questions but it was obvious she was not familiar with the process or protocol. Amber told her to tell us that her daughter was hospitalized and that she would reach out to me the next day. Three days have passed and Amber still hasn’t contacted me. I then emailed Amber to get updated information about what’s going on. She had now told me that Dana and the chef left and they couldn’t find another chef to replace in time for my wedding. She also mentioned that Timacuan will not be doing in house catering, even though that’s what we signed up for in our contact. We were now suppose to find a cater on our own she also charged me for chairs that wasn’t included in the contract before. She also told me to follow old contract policies when I asked to cancel our wedding with them. She the proceeded to send me a new proposal that didn’t match anything we had in our original contract. I reached out to Amber via email regarding a refund on 2/4. I followed up with her on Monday 2/7 regarding my request and I have not heard back from her at all. The lack of responsiveness, professionalism, empathy, disorganization makes me feel uncomfortable to through with my wedding with Timacuan. This is suppose to be a very important day for me and being close to the big day I don’t feel everything will be done smoothly. Things were promised to us and aren’t getting fulfilled and I do not wish to have any bride go through this. I made calls to amber, the accounting manager, and general manager today and no one picked up. I left a voicemail for the general to reach back out to me as soon as possible. I would like to have my refund back. I do not trust to have my wedding in the hands of Timacuan

As I am a Homeowner of this community, I brought out members of my Sr. Management Team to play the course and review the facility for a Near Future Full Field Golf Tourney.. I must say I was completely embarrassed and disappointed that I even approached that thought process..It started with the lack of Customer Service in Pro Shop when checking in and paying the over priced Greens Fees due to the conditions of the course..So here it goes:Driving Range Experience - Golf Ball Vending Machine very difficult to operate.. Tee Mats have no tee’s and are moldy and eroding.It started with 8 plus golf carts at #1 tee box with no starter but the name Mike was on name plate at Starter Office.. so, we had to figure out who tee’d off when..Tee Boxes and Fairways were mostly sand with weeds.. Total Course is in bad shape..Greens were mostly dried out and patched up due to lack of watering and sub par..Bunkers just horrible and many weeds growing from them..There was zero Beverage Cart Service on course on a Friday.I would not EVER recommend a Corporate Event, let alone, referring friend to play this BELOW Average Golf Course..
