Had my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner here. It was set up on the outdoor patio. Food and service for our party was fantastic. I worked with the general manager, Pete, and I can’t say enough great things about his help and guidance throughout the planning. Very responsive and professional throughout. I highly recommend Jax in Lake Mary. Thank you Pete and staff for an amazing experience.
I come here often and the pub food is great, super cold beer!!! Happy Hour is from 4pm to 7pm. Friday nights are great to come by and relax, listen to live music. Today is Thursday, but I was craving a burger, which juicy and delicious!!! They do not make frozen or blended drinks, but they do have a full bar.
Went to Jax’s for the first time on Friday. I had shrimp dinner and my friend had fried clams. She doesn’t like tarter sauce and I don’t like cocktail sauce so we switched. Food was very good and service was good. On Tuesday I brought 3 more friends to eat. I had shrimp again, my friends had fried clams, ribs and wings. Food was very good. When we got the bill I was surprised to see a $.50 cent charge for tarter sauce and my friend was also charged $.50 because she had asked for an additional tarter sauce. We paid with a credit card and we’re charged an additional fee of $.65. My friends that paid for 2 meals were charged $1.70 for using a credit card. Why? It was only one bill. I was in a restaurant recently that had a note on the menu that there would be an additional charge of $2.00 on each meal. I wouldn’t mind paying more for a meal if I knew before I ordered but being sneaky like this makes me angry. The waitress did not get a good tip either because she never said anything about additional charges. I won’t be eating here again even if the food was good.
Bingo on Tuesday night is fun. Cash prizes. Heineken 0 for NA beer. Friendly staff. Decent food.
Great variiof draft beer, spacious outdoor seating, delicious burgers and live music, perfect to unwind.
Overall a very laid back atmosphere. An older crowd but very nice people. The staff is friendly and warm. Kid friendly place as well. The menu is moderately priced. Some items are hit or miss though. I haven't had everything there but so far the Chicken sandwich is one of my favorite items. Mac N Cheese bites however were the most underwhelming item I've had so far. Wouldn't recommend except maybe for young kids.Beer prices are pretty good, especially during happy hour. They do have a larger amount of taps than an average bar too. Another unique thing about this place is they regularly host bingo a few nights a week and it can get packed. Live music (mainly acoustic type stuff) in the patio Friday nights. I wish they would do full-on tribute/cover bands though. Overall a cool place. Especially if you're fortunate enough to live close enough to walk over or come in a golf cart.
My wife and I stopped here by suggestion from a local: we're visiting from Chicago. We were noy impressed. It was busy, being a Wednesday and bingo night, but the staff wasn't even busy but not at all friendly. We asked about bingo and were told to talk to the bingo guy, we just host.We had the Jax burger which was delicious. The sweet potato fries had a sweet dipping sauce which made it taste like a desert! The mac n cheese bites were also tasty! The beer is good and cold.If you want a good burger and cold beer, this is your spot. Don't expect good service.
We have been going for years and generally have a great experience. We have notices that the maintenance has gone majorly downhill the past year. It's a huge outdoor space and they can't even be bothered to clean the cobwebs, power wash the mold, or clean up the cigarette butts. Come on guys have some pride of ownership here!
Meh. Probably won't go again. Just totally mediocre food. Service was great.
Good food, waitress was knowledgeable and food came out fast. Loaded Potato Skins were good. Blackened Grilled Mahi sandwich was huge. Sweet potato fries were crisp and hot. Would definitely recommend.
