Service is always fantastic. The prime rib was overdone but they took it back and brought another out. Still overdone but we took it. They offered a free dessert to compensate. The halibut is very small for the expensive price you pay.
Went during happy hour. The good drinks and craft beer you would want is of course not on special. Only 2 craft beers on happy hour and wasn't the popular good choices. I tried a sample of the craft beer with a hint of grapefruit in it and it was terrible. Not cold at all. Lukewarm draft. It was like the least popular craft beers on sale in order to get rid of the kegs. Prime rib steak sandwich is on the happy hour menu and it actually tastes and the texture of a Arby's roast beef sandwich. The beef is shaved like a Arby's sandwich and actually tastes like one. Comes with fries. The oysters were very small and was not cleaned properly. Was not worth $18. Tried an old fashioned during happy hour and it wasn't good either because it had way too many original bitters in it instead of orange bitters and all I could taste was bitters not bourbon at all. Bitters can be very strong and a little bit goes a long way. Please don't use crushed ice in an old fashioned. Please use a large or round cube for a true proper old fashioned . Atmosphere is nice. Hostess was very nice. Second time here. Thought I would give it another chance. Would have liked to see a printed list of happy hour drinks on the menu instead of select martinis, select beer and select cocktails. It should be easy for a customer to select the right cocktail for them not guess what is on happy hour.
The salad was amazing. Had the surf and turf special was really good. My wife had the salmon. Also really well cooked and tasted really fresh. Got the potatoes at gratin tasted good. Ordered the strawberry shortcake to go. Did not come with any fresh strawberries. Came with some strawberries in a sauce. Cake was disappointing. Rest of the experience was really good. Service was great and everyone in the restaurant was very friendly.
The overall experience was very good as it always is. A special thanks to Diego our waiter who was the most professional we have had a Fishbones over the years.
Received an email about the new Surf & Turf on the menu & immediately made reservations to try it out. All I can say is 'PLEASE keep it on the menu' forever! We chose the Filet Mignon Medallions with the Scallops & it was fantastic! Our server Emilee was very attentive & the manager came by our table to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. Everything was perfect! It was definitely worth the drive from Port Orange to Lake Mary to enjoy such an unforgettable meal. We talked about it all the way back home. We will be back very soon for another wonderful experience. Thank you, FishBones!
