We have been looking for a good little hole in the wall place to get good Chinese food. This is not it. We order chicken lo mein had no flavor at all. Also order chicken with egg plant and garlic sauce. The eggplant was overcooked and it made the whole meal mushy. And maybe 1 to 2 pieces of chicken throughout the entire meal we did not eat it.
I paid $42.00 on the worst food I ever tasted. With the 4 stars I thought I would get decent food. I was 100% wrong. Everything we ate tasted tainted, bad and chemical flavor. I had to force myself to eat it. I didn't want money to go to waste. Next time I try a new place definitely using credit card so I can dispute. I paid in cash so no money back for the nastiness Chinese food.
Update: We gave it a second chance both in delivery and pick up and justly reward ed. The egg rolls are good and both the fried and steamed dumplings were very good as well as the BBQ ribs. The rice was better than the first time but still needs a better quality of rice.
I ordered from Chopstix because I was new to the area of Lake Mary and figured I give them a try. We even ordered rice and lo meins without veggies in hope to get fresh food…that was never the case…the food is very oily, they use way to much sou sauce I guess and its just not fresh. The last drop was when I ordered a lo mein and it tasted cold even to the point where it may have been spoiled. It had a weird after taste not pleasant. I gave it two stars because the front desk girl that takes the orders is nice. :(
We ordered takeout, we have ordered from them before & it was vey good, but his time very bad. $37+ don the garbage disposal.... very disappointed ? Spring Roll - overcooked so much filling was hard Fried Dumplings - were good Vegetable Egg Foo Young - overcooked & just plain nasty Beef w/ Mixed Vegetables - meat looked dodgy, gray to beef so we didn't even try.
Nothing tasted like how you would expect. Like I ordered wings and asked if the wings were whole. Maybe she didn’t understand what I meant but the wings were buffalo style and deeps fried?. Orange chicken didnt taste bad but it wasn’t orange chicken. Even the lo mein tasted different than what you expect. The egg roll was not good either. I can’t say the food wasnt cooked well, it was cooked well but it just tasted like something other than what I expected it to. Very odd take on chinese take out. I’m thinking their food just fits a blander taste bud.
I have made three orders from this restaurant and all of them met my expectations. So far I’ve had really good experience and I have no complaints at all, therefore 5 stars from me.
I’m from New York miss the Chinese from over there, decided to go with this spot the rice was bland, the spare ribs were not good they had a weird taste and super greasy also very salty, The egg roll was ok. Won’t be ordering from here anymore,
Always get the vegetable egg foo young. It's amazing!
