JUST SAY NO!! DON’T GO! The ONLY reason I am leaving two stars instead of one, is that our server, Courtney was great. The food was abysmal…baked potato was not even done… and the stuffed flounder had almost no taste and was covered in something that looked like Old Bay seasoning, but still had no taste……squeeze bottles of (mayo based) tarter source sitting out on all the tables…not refrigerated…who knows how long they have all been sitting out?!!! Our salt shaker was so dirty, no salt would come out.. When I open the shaker there were black foreign specs in the salt and the inside of the shaker top was green… I asked for another salt shaker… As you can see by the photos, it was the same way…it was nauseating. A McDonald’s fish fillet sandwich is better than anything this place can serve. How it could be voted one of the best restaurants in the city is revolting. Y’all need to get out more.

Restaurant was recommended by our hotel personnel. Simple mom and pop type restaurant. Service was excellent. Our server was very helpful with our questions about the menu. She was polite and attentive. We had the blackened grouper and the grilled red snapper. Both were very flavorful and cooked as ordered. The sides were large. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely dine here again if in the area.

Good, delicious food and outstanding service ( thank you, Meghan). We were traveling to Tallahassee and stopped for dinner. We ordered Gator bites for appetizer and crawfish dinner & scallops dinner for main course. Everything was tasty. I would recommend this restaurant.I agree with other reviews that hush puppies and gator bites are the best.
We had a very nice lunch here. Service is very good and the food is very tasty. My sister ordered the stuffed red snapper and I the snow crab. Both we would eat again.
Staff here are friendly. Food was amazing. I loved all the options for not only seafood but cooking styles as well. Most of their platters are well priced and provides a great portion
This place is the BEST! It really beats Red Lobster, except for their biscuits. They give you plenty of food for a GREAT price. I would go there every week if we lived there. I wish they would open one here where we live. We desperately need a seafood restaurant like Cedar River here. If you plan on opening one here let me know! The Grouper was delicious as were the hush puppies. All great. Next time we are in that area we will be back!
Me and my hubby were celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary tonight and we Just left this place.It was Out standing! Our girl Patty, she's a sweetie. She's a keeper forsure!The seafood food, atmosphere everything was Great!!! To the Owner Awesome Place...
Amazing dinner! We are only in town for the night and the reviews led us here. Nice cozy restaurant, great service and amazing food! We started with the baked mushrooms, amazing savory flavor! We got the Lunch specials because we were early, grilled shrimp and a combo dinner with shrimp and deviled crab. The hushpuppies are the best we've ever had. Clam chowder also very delicious! We come through Lake City often on our way home in South FL and will stop here again!
