Food's good... Sometimes the staff can be a bit grumpy. I got overcharged because the guy misheard me and though my ice cream cone was some kind of sandwich. He got kinda grumpy with me about getting me a refund when it was his fault to begin with. Other than the customer service and the grill being "down" most evenings, it's pretty good.
This restaurant had horrible customer service and horrible food and doesn't deserve a STAR! The lazy child working had to get up from setting and playing on her telephone to wait on the customers. Then she sat back down and played on her telephone in front of customers. Food was not hot, it was warm and chewy. Which means it was old and kept warm under a light. Including the french fries. I pray that was not the manager setting in the back of the restaurant watching all this unfold. If so, sir you should be fired. I could hear the young man in the cooking area complaining he didn't want to be there. I would never go back. I was wondering why the parking lot was empty. Now I know why. Very sad considering that's a newer restaurant in town.
Have not been in Capt. D,'s in quite awhile mainly because we are not eating out much due to different reasons. We were in town today and decided we would eat as it was 1:00 and we had not had breakfast.The girl that took our order was quite pleasant and efficient. There were only 5 groups ahead of us and had already received their food, and yet there was a wait for ours. The young man who brought the food out was also pleasant and efficient.Now the food. My husbands fish was undercooked and the batter was not crisp like it had been put into cold grease.I had ordered the Catfish and all I can say is what happened to that light Southern corn meal type coating you use to put on the Catfish. What was on it was hard and bland and not anything I would order again and I use to love your Catfish.
I don't appreciate paying for an order and don't get what I ordered. I will now check my food before I leave to make sure I get what I pay for. Ordered for someone today fish and shrimp and there was no shrimp at all. Tried to call and they are not answering the phone at all. It's not like the place is very busy that they make mistakes. You just can't get good service these days. V
Good tasting fish and shrimp platter. Clean restaurant and great company with several veterans dining. Would go again
Pretty good food! The chips were way too salty though and unedible. Whatever fried crispies were under the fish and fries, but the fried fish was restaurant quality! Hot big fries.The girls were nice!Great deal! I think it was a 4 piece flounder or cod and 2 sides.Drive through was quick.
This place is so covid scared it's not funny. They bring you your food in a Styrofoam container, give you one ketchup or 1 vinegar but yet the workers have their mask around their chins. No, I will not be returning to this store for something to eat.
Service was very friendly and efficient (Evelyn was the name on my receipt ) Always get the Deluxe Seafood platter and it didn't disappoint. Food was hot and fresh , and delicious , the green beans tasted better than I've had before and even the corn looks bigger! Bummed about the clam strips no longer being on the menu , but it won't stop me from coming back , especially if the food and service remains this consistent.
I got the 3 piece fish dinner.It was a bit more money than a typical fast food meal.It was also fresh and delicious.The next time I want a something different lunch. Captain D's will be on my list.
Is there a better place for WHITEFISH? I DON'T THINK SO!
