After a long journey was unable to check in at 7:30 pm. How on earth can a room not be ready so late? Fees and taxes are excessive, approximately 35% before being coerced into tipping in front of a cashier at a buffet. Attitude towards the environment is disgraceful with wide use of single-use plastics, and more.

Fourth time at this hotel and probably my last. Had to negotiate my upgrade as a Marriott member with gold status. Housekeeping was terrible. Left our garbage out and did not replenish glasses or coffee. Had some ants in our room, no one from management called to apologize and smooth things over. They change our room after hearing nothing from anybody for over 12 hours. At the front desk I request to speak to a manager who is not very apologetic. I request to have my upgrade fee discounted since I have to spend two hours packing up and moving my family of 5. I’m told I will get a $100 discount (that does not even cover a meal). The icing on the cake is at checkout the discount is really 88$+ taxes. I waited for over 5 minutes on the phone for a bellman. Finally decided to make the two trips to the car myself. Cleanliness also lacking. The lobby is well maintained but that’s about it. The corridors were dirty. Don’t expect any Disney magic since now the buses to magic kingdom don’t take you to the gate anymore but to the transportation center where it now takes almost 45 minutes each way. I have to say this hotel disappointed in many ways. The restaurants are good and the pool is fun but for service and cleanliness not impressed. Consider booking your Disney stay elsewhere.

We booked a stay at the Walt Disney World Dolphin for my daughter’s birthday. I have never written a negative review, and certainly not while still staying at the hotel. The location is fantastic, but that is the only positive thing about this resort. Being Disney Annual Passholders, this is our fourth trip to Disney this year. We typically stay at a Disney owned and operated resort, but decided to give the Dolphin a try. This was a HUGE mistake. We have returned from the parks each day in the late afternoon/early evening to find that our room has not been touched by housekeeping. I have had to contact guest services every single day to have our room taken care of despite requesting daily housekeeping at check-in. (Today was day 6 of 8.) Each day, when our room is finally done, we are given 3 towels and 2 water bottles, despite the fact that there are 4 of us on the reservation. This requires yet another call or text down to the front desk so that we can each have at least one towel for the shower. Yesterday morning, we were stuck in our room because the door would not open. Luckily, a security guard heard us and was able to get the door open. In addition, the app will not work to unlock the door so we had to get keys. Last night, while looking for my son’s charging wire, we discovered a prior guest’s red fingernail on the floor next to the bed. This was brought to the attention of the front desk, yet after housekeeping came, it is still there!! Used glasses have been left on the counter since the first day of our arrival. I am disgusted and will NEVER stay here again.

We travelled from the Uk July 22, it was our first time at WDW and we loved everything about our hotel, the location is fantastic…we only booked a standard room and we were given one on the 11th floor and were made up it was a Magic Kingdom view, we could either walk to Hollywood studios and Epcot or get the boat, most days we got the boat and walked back. MK, Typhoon Lagoon, AK and Disney springs we were able to get the bus. The hotel itself is lovely and has the best ice cream I’ve ever had!!the staff could not be more helpful. If there was a problem or something missing once the room had been serviced a quick text was all that was needed and shortly after we had we we needed. We understand how busy and just coming out of covid it’s hard on hospitality and abit of patience works both ways!!honestly couldn’t of asked for a nicer place to stay on our first trip and have come home with such fantastic memories, thank you to everybody who works at the Dolphin.

We stayed at The Dolphin July 2022. The price, quality, and location is great. There are 22 places to get food there, but I didn’t see any traditional hot breakfast anywhere. The rooms are nice and updated. The tub/toilet room is really small. Sink is outside of that. We had 2 double beds and a balcony. We were able to see fireworks from Epcot every night from our room at the Dolphin. The balcony was nice, but the very thick railing made the fireworks hard to see if sitting down. Not every room will be able to offer a view of the fireworks. We were lucky to be placed facing that direction. Purchases were noticeably more expensive than expected. For example, vending machine soda is $5 per bottle. It is $3.50 per bottle at Disney. Spa prices start at $200 for services you can get at home for $60-80. The workers were nice and helpful. We needed to call on the refrigerator and maintenance was there in 10 minutes. It was fine. I saw a rude guest chastising an ice cream worker. This worker just listened to him, said she was sorry and carried on. I was impressed with her poise. The boat to Epcot is fabulous and drops you off between France and Germany. The boat to HS takes you to a good location, just a short walk to the entrance. I think they’re run by Disney since it stops at The Boardwalk, The Boat Club, and The Yacht Club. Bussing to MK and to Disney Springs was the biggest bummer and the reason for the 3 stars - since this is a big part of a WDW location resort. The busses are managed by Mears and they are punctual and reliable. However after waiting for a bus to take you to MK, you end up getting dropped off at the transportation center - not MK. From there, you need to wait in line again for a boat or monorail to take you to MK. And after a long day, you need to navigate this again. And there is a tipping sign on theses busses. Tipping isn’t allowed on Disney transportation. Getting dropped off at Disney Springs puts you in the corner by Cirque de Soleil, while the Disney busses take guests to a more convenient, central location of Disney Springs. We waited a really long time for a bus back to the hotel, gave up, and called a LYFT. The LYFT designated area is in the same place; this is where all of the non-Disney hotel bussing picks up/drops off. If transportation utilized Disney’s busses, I would give it 4 stars.

I read the bad reviews and think well nothing is perfect. It is a large hotel like many in the area. Not perfect, but the management and staff did everything to try to make it perfect. Housekeeping was awesome. They gave us everything. We had a huge glitch in transportation because Mears sucks, but the hotel management made it right. Fantastic! Go ahead, stay at Beach Club or Yacht Club for over twice the price and when you get your statement you'll wish you stayed here.

I never thought I'd have to write a review whilst still staying at the hotel, but honestly I feel compelled to do so. Having stayed in various hotels around thae world I have never seen this poor level of room service anywhere I've been to before. This is night 4 of a 12 night stay and there are times when I feel the days should go by quicker. Most people will say 1st World problems but when you pay for a service you expect to receive it, end of! I've had to use their (really good) chat feature several times due to our rooms not being done or missing items such as towels or coffee or even worse our room not being done at all. I don't understand why they asked if we wanted our rooms to be serviced daily or in an ad hoc basis at check in when they'll do whatever they please. Rooms seem to be serviced at random awkward times and badly when they are. For example when we arrived the counter where the coffee supplies are was grimey and had stuck dirt, we could feel it. In the four days we've bee here it hasn't been cleaned even when it was brought to their attention. Another day after an extremely long day at the park we came back to a room that wasn't serviced, so we requested it to be made up whilst we went out to dinner. When we came back at around 11pm the room still wasn't done. We gave up on the room being serviced but requested clean towels and coffee, we got these at nearly midnight! Just today when we arrived at around 5pm we had to ask if our room was going to be serviced (the person servicing the rooms wasn't sure if our room was on his list but found out that it was after checking). However, before doing up our room he informed us that he did not have enough towels, "as I could see from the trolley and that we should request them from the front desk" REALLY? ?We decided to leave the room as he cleaned it to make it more comfortable for him but when we came back - no coffee or water, the dirty towels hadn't been removed from the bath, the toilet had dirty water in it, and no wiping of surfaces had taken place. So we had to chase the guy down the corridor to ask for coffee (he seemed to be unaware that there were 3 of us staying in the room and would only offer us 1 pack of coffee... We managed to get 3 in the end). I understand that this is a big hotel but whoever is managing the servicing schedule is getting the timings wrong big time! We have family staying in another room and they were told he would only take the rubbish out if they stayed in their room! Isn't that ridiculous? I hate having to complain and being "the thorn on the side" or "THAT customer" but I'm here on holiday and have paid a lot of money for this trip to have to chase anyone over really basic things.

Close to all the parks, excellent service at the reception, easy and fast procedures, simple pool with a small slide. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Good mattresses and pillows. We tried 3 restaurants with average food. The best thing is that it is right next to Disney's BoardWalk. the market at the entrance is the best: it's called Fuel.

Just love the Dolphin, and it was great to see it bubbling over with convention people after so many years of it being quiet. We were in the West Wing this time which I like because it's closest to the pool area. I can't find anything to complain about, except for the high resort fee and parking fee. Otherwise, this place is a gem.

I had a work conference at this hotel. It is very large. The conference center is cavernous and I still don’t know my way around. The central lobby is huge with a party-like vibe. There are good food options for a low, medium, or high budget. We ate at Bluezoo, Amare (in Swan Reserve), and Cabana. All are good, but Amare was excellent. The rooms are good, though we had no view overlooking the reception roof. The hotel is walking distance from Epcot or Hollywood. The boardwalk is very near as well. Wonderful location. The pools are great, and especially the Grotto. It feels like a large resort that caters for all ages and people
