Just came back from spending a week at the Wilderness Lodge resort and we had planned to try a few different restaurants as well as parks. The reason I am posting is to maybe clarify something that could be confusing. The service and food was reasonable and I really have no complaints but we assumed , having been spoiled by the Disney resorts, that they would validate parking since we were doing breakfast at one of their restaurants and the answer was a flat out no. Just for anyone who wants to go and enjoy it, please be advised that the cost for parking is $34.00 wether you are there an hour or the whole day. In my opinion , not worth it at all. You go to any of the resorts at Disney for dinner or drinks and they welcome you with a smile, here , exactly the opposite. Hope this helps anybody out there so you don’t get the surprise we did
My family and I have been going to the Garden Grove restaurant for breakfast for over 20 years at least three times per year. Sadly there has been a gradual deterioration across the board starting about 6 years ago. We very recently went there for breakfast and not only is it nothing like it was in its heyday, starting with the overwhelming smell of mildew, but it felt like it is the forgotten restaurant of the Swan Dolphin property. My family and were heartbroken because we recall years upon years of great times there with our kids, now all grown up, and with older family members now having passed on. We hope they can recapture excellence. But for now our thumbs up belong to the past and not the present state of the restaurant.
The hostess clearly didn't love her job. We were there the morning of Friday, Feb. 18th. She was so unfriendly I thought we'd leave. Glad we didn't though, our serve was wonderful and the food was REALLY GOOD!
Just another $60 disney meal you could have gotten for $13 at a Waffle House. waitress was friendly and attentive even though she was busy.
We did Thanksgiving here as we have in the past. We will not be back. It’s not a buffet due to Covid, which we knew but still no excuse for a dinner that cost $280 for 5 people! They were extremely short staffed with only two waitresses. We went ahead of dinner rush at 4:30. It didn’t help! We ordered, they forgot our soup and brought dinner. We asked about the soup after a long wait to get a waitress. It came after we had the dinner. The dinner was cold. We were afraid to ask to heat it up as it’s never a good thing to send food back and we didn’t know when we would get it back. Refills on drinks were non existent as the poor waitresses were too busy to get their attention. The desserts were awful. Just a mix of desserts thrown in a plate, cold, hard, mini pies, stale brownies. We were not only celebrating Thanksgiving but our 20th anniversary vow renewal. I wish I had chosen a better restaurant. Such a shame as it was one of our favorites in the past and the nostalgia of it for our family was great but for no discounts of any kind and it being horrible we won’t return. We did say food was cold and the wait for things was more than obvious to the way staff yet no kind of discount or any compensation was offered. Such a shame.
Since this was Thanksgiving I felt that the service was lacking. The food was ok and we went out for my son's birthday. We waited over 20 minutes for our dessert, and before we got it the server brought us our check. She asked if we got dessert and we didn't and she offered it because it came with the meal. We ultimately declined because we had waited so long. Then we had to wait about 10 minutes just to pay. I would never go here again.
This is the breakfast restaurant in the Walt Disney World Swan. It offers typical a la carte breakfast items, and is the typical overpriced hotel option of the breakfast restaurants at the Swan & Dolphin resort complex (the better value is the breakfast buffet at Fresh Mediterranean Market). The food here is standard, but not that I would expect much when you're just ordering scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Note that this restaurant has limited hours (7:00 AM to 11:30 AM) and is closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
My fiancé and I discovered Garden Grove upon our stay at the Dolphin resort back in May and we were not disappointed! Breakfast is outstanding and the service from Marcie is PHENOMENAL! We kept going back each day for breakfast there because Marcie started our day with such amazing energy (and it's a plus that the waffles + berry compote is out of this world delicious). We went back this past weekend and Marcie remembered us, giving us exceptional service yet again and our breakfasts were both tasty. My fiancé decided to have the omelet and Marcie suggested he get the side of guacamole, which was delicious and kept him full for half the day, and I had the eggs benedict which was not too heavy like most are, and very flavorful. We will continue going back to Garden Grove for as long as we stay at the Dolphin because it is just THAT GOOD! And be sure to ask for Marcie if she is available; her warm energy and great service is definitely an asset to this place!

Garden Grove is a nice restaurant within the Disney Swan resort, particularly good for a more substantial breakfast than one of the quick service type places like Java or Fuel. I’ve had breakfast here a number of times and each has been very good and the service excellent as well. One thing they should definitely bring back is the amazing array of healthy juice / smoothie drinks they used to have set out. Extremely tasty and healthy selections!
