I have wanted to eat here for a while now and now I have and it was OK but I won't add it to my must do list. While the food had a good taste not only were the portion sizes really small especially the beans they were also wildly inconsistent, 3 of us had the same meal and all looked different noticeably. It's a pity as I think I would of quite liked this place but something is missing and I think its the BBQ part of the meal the pulled pork had not hint of being BBQ at all they did give you a very small tub of BBQ sauce which to me is not really the same. Seating is also not directly by the pick up and is sparce so be ware. Not bad but not at the top of things I've eaten.
Not a bad food option if you're traversing the Animal Kingdom at Disney's Theme Parks. I had the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans. My girlfriend had the 1/2 chicken with slaw and fries. The sandwich was decent, better lathered in the bbq sauce they serve with it, which taste similar to a McDonald's bbq. The baked beans were dry and nothing to write home about. I tried some of the half chicken and fries, which were also fairly good. Not in love with Flame Tree but if in the park again, I would return.
Great BBQ and super fast service with the app. The Gluten free ribs were good to order and tasted better than the standard menu! No Separate or dedicated fryer for gluten free fries, but the mash worked well
Got to say, this place is superb. We managed to find a seat and table in ‘Dinoland’ (albeit in a different restaurant (but it was air-conditioned and out of the Sun)). I made the shaky and slow transit from one location to the other with the order, but it was worth the journey! I opted for the ‘1/2 Chicken’ (believe me there was plenty of eating in it), my wife chose the ‘Hot Link Smokehouse Sandwich’ and for our son we ordered the ‘PB&J Uncrustable’. All thoroughly enjoyed and paid for through the successful use of the ‘temperamental’ mobile app. Just to add - my ‘Chicken’ was cooked really well - the skin was chargrilled and the meat fell off the bone. No real complaints with the turnaround time. A pretty seamless transition (although carrying two open cups on a tray is a task in itself). As I said in my previous review for the Animal Kingdom, the food on offer there really is to a good standard and this restaurant signifies this. Recommended by all of us.
While other meals for our group were good, my chicken salad had one very small piece of chicken. It should be called salad. No ranch dressing either. And we had one meal missing.
For vegans/vegetarians: This is a great spot for a quick filling bite that isn’t too expensive; the food of course isn’t top tier but it gets the job done! The vegan sausage was a little dry but nothing a little sauce can’t fix, and the fries were good! Just wish they had more options(:
Traditional BBQ. I tried the Mac and cheese with pulled pork tasted great. What made this place awesome was the ambiance. Wild birds walking around and rabbits coming out of the bushes. The drinks where super refreshing and had candied pineapple as garnished Mickey ears.
Quick service restaurant. Let's you order ahead of time and then you'll get a notification when it's ready for pick-up. Seating is next door with plenty of space for the whole family. We are a family of four. We ordered the Baked Mac & Cheese with Pulled Pork, one Ribs and Chicken combo and two St. Louis Ribs Diner. With beverages it came out to a total of around $70. The food was actually tasty. More flavor than most theme park food. The portions were great too, especially for the price. Excellent value.
The food was the best we ate while in Disney world. Very filling. We loved the animals that visited around us. The lion king water show was going on beside us. This was a great experience.
