Arrival at the resort is painless. Guard will verify your information via the left lane. Right lane is for returning guests. At 6’1” my Kermit arms were surprisingly too short to reach the reader. Note at this hotel you will use your phone or a MagicBand//MagicBand+ to enter the parking area/guest room. It works if you can reach the reader. Valet is available but if you turn left after the guard shack there is a self parking lot that is very close to the building. Turn right and you will get some steps in. Check in was quick and they had my MagicBand+ right at the desk. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. After 6-8 hours of park time in Floridas August heat and humidity I really appreciated the sofa and large windows to day dream. What I did not appreciate was the lack of Internet for 3 of the 4 days. Took 3 calls to get it fixed. Network would not let any device join. But the staff was always pleasant. Oh no room service here either. I was staying in the tower so there were two choices on floor 16. Good food, you just have to have the motivation to get to the elevator to get to 16. A very large gift shop is on the lower lobby level. It’s a 2-3 minute walk inside. If you keep going a little further you will a few more restaurants and a quick serve for breakfast. All good. I did not get to explore the whole resort. I would love to come back some day to do that. Very nice indeed.
We really enjoyed our stay at this Disney resort. This was our first time staying here and I was not aware that the resort is so large and has so many lodging options. We stayed in the cabanas which were only 2 floors, had a beach area with cushy comfy hammocks right outside of our room. Our building was also close to the spectacular pool area that featured a water slide, spa, kids pool, fire pit (where staff set up marshmallow roasting some nights), volleyball area, arcade, playground, etc. Our building was pretty far from the main tower which is where most of the bar/ restaurants were located. We ate at the primary food court each night despite the walk there, but it was worth it as the food was great having standard offerings as well as specials each night providing a variety of quick service entrees. Grounds also had wild bunnies which we often saw near the landscaping. Only downside that we experienced was that if you stay any areas besides the tower, the hotel doesn't provide luggage carts to unload your bags if you choose to unload on your own. We did use the bell service since we had plenty luggage, snacks, etc. and didn't want to make several trips to unload. The bell staff were very professional and efficient. The other downside is despite Coronado being one of the larger resorts at Disney, it seeps that the resort is not provided as much bus/ transportation staff as other resorts. two nights we sat at bus stops (Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom) and watch buses from other hotels pick up 2nd and 3rd times while waiting for our first Coronado Springs bus to come. The first night we thought that perhaps it was just a shift change or maybe the bus needed refueling, but when it happened again the next night at the most popular park we realized that maybe other resorts have more buses assigned to them compared to Coronado.
We were very fortunate to have a mini staycation at grand Destino tower. All I can say is this is my favorite Disney resort. 3 days and 2 nights of just hanging out at the resort. Some of the best food options and 1 of the neatest pools on property. You can even go fishing and the bass are huge. We stayed on the 12th floor and had a view of the epcot ball and tower of terror and starwars land lit up at night. I can't say enough on how much fun we had here, also how many pounds we gained eating here. The hidden gem of Disney.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Coronado! House keeping was very timely and impressive, the staff in the main lobby were super friendly and kind, and the pool(s) and conference areas were always clean, well kept, and complimented the temperatures outside beautifully.
Awesome hotel for the price! Multiple pools, bars, activities. We loved it! The “Dig Site” pool is open until 11pm. We tried a couple of the different bars and loved them all. We will come back in the future for date night with all the activities. There was a Sangria Tasting we were super interested in doing. All around, it was a great stay at Disney!
Coronado Springs is such a beautiful resort. Even the fragrance in the main lobby is warm and inviting! We stayed in Ranchos and while we were lead to believe it was some distance away as a huge resort - it took us 5 mins to walk to main area for shop, drink refills and lobby, so that wasn’t an issue. The theming is lovely and the rooms are clean, bright and modern. The Three Bridges restaurant is fantastic and hard to believe that such good quality food is available in resort. The gluten free churros are amazing! The only issue was in relation to housekeeping. Towels were not changed every day and coffee/tea was only replenished when they were and then at a minimum. We had to ask for more three times and to be fair by the time we had arrived back to our room this had happened. The bed was also changed after four nights and when I questioned on day 9 why not changed again I was told due to be changed on Day 10 which was a bit silly since we were staying 11 nights. Despite this on the day we were due to check out at 11, housekeeping had knocked on the door to get in twice by 1030! The housekeeping would not stop me returning or recommending this wonderful resort as we found all staff friendly and helpful and the rooms when cleaned were clean - just not frequently enough.
I'll start off by saying that complaining and ranting about places is NOT my style, and giving credit where credit is due, totally IS! So, on the positive side, the property is BEAUTIFUL!! The lake in the center, the surrounding environment, the decor, it's all gorgeous. However, to begin, the problems began immediately upon arrival as we were PROMISED a room in the tower (at reservation time months prior to arrival) since we were military and reserving several rooms. At check-in, there were no tower rooms available but were assured that the "Casitas Rooms" were an upgrade. So, we agreed to take the rooms...if these rooms were an upgrade I am afraid of what the tower rooms were like...our rooms were TINY, our double stroller had no room to fit, much less our suitcases and equipment. We also had NO HOT WATER, that's right...Florida, in July, where tourists want nothing more than a shower (or 2) after miles of park walking and exploring...nope, cold only. Yes, I know its hot down there...but a warm shower to MOST people is a must. When we called about it, they sent a tech rather quickly, however his reasoning about the broilers being "out" was not helpful. On day 3 we were told we could move to a different "Casitas" building but by this point all our stuff was scattered throughout the teeny rooms, we were somewhat settled and moving 14 people (8 kiddos) was more of a hassle than dealing with the water issue. Plus, there was no guarantee we would all stay close together, so...We dealt with it. We were also promised a microwave, NOPE! And the refrigerator "cooled"items, though things like milk and bottled water were lukewarm at the end of the day. The other hassle was the distance from our room to literally ANYTHING! Ice machine, elevator, stairs, pool, lobby...all of it was SOOOOOOO far (and confusing to navigate)! After walking the parks all day, coming to your resort and walking tons more for a drink or the pool is the last thing you want to do. So consider that part...if you're overly energetic at the end of the day, this might be the place for you. And finally, housekeeping was extremely FRUGAL with coffee and supplies...the 3 adults in my room had to "rotate" coffee pods/creamer as they would only supply 1-2 pods/cups every 2 days...and clean towels seemed like a luxury (they are not changed often...)! So, if you have kids, I would look elsewhere, if you like hot water and showers, also look elsewhere, if you prefer a 5-8 minute trot to the lobby for a drink or snack, look elsewhere, and lastly, if you like coffee and small luxuries in the morning, also look elsewhere! I've stayed in other Disney World resorts before this one, and sadly, this is lowest on the list. Splurge a bit more and reserve a better place, it's worth it!
Coronado springs was one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed, the food was nice, there was lots of activities to do.. for example: movies under the stars and roasting marshmallows. Rooms were lovely and air conditioning was great. Would definitely stay here again :)))
Hotel and facilities are nice but some issues with cleaning rooms and making/changing the bed. However this was stepped up once we complained but cleaning and making the beds are the basics and shouldn't need to be raised. Seems be be no house keeping that go round to spot check the maids work. Never spent that amount of money for a hotel and had to chase them about making a bed or cleaning a sink/toilet. So would I stay again? No.
gorgeous property. friendly staff. attended sangria university and had an amazing time.
