Ordered chicken wings and they were great nice and crispy. They were large and very meaty. The best wings I have had in years. I will have to try other items on the menu.
So stopped here with my British parents i had heard it was an okay place but I was very disappointed, we walked in and there were a few people sitting at the bar and 1 person behind the bar serving, we felt extremely uncomfortable no kind welcome like some people had said in previous reviews, not 1 british person there the staff were not british either, ordered the fish chips and mushy peas and it was rank over cooked and tasteless I think it was all frozen food chucked in the fryer won't be returning not a representation of a british pub at all.
Never ever do I leave reviews unless I’m blown away. To start with the food was exceptionally amazing, never had a scotch egg before but I melted with the first bite. Fish and chips was crispy and fish was so delicate and buttery. Manager and waitress Noel were welcoming and attentive. When I ordered a drink they were out of Baileys, the manager went to the liquor store and bought a bottle to make my drink. Unheard of! Live music started after that and this man’s voice was akin to Eddie Vetter. Anyway, amazing amazing experience!
We went on a slow night which for me is the way I like it. The bar tender was very nice and polite and the food was good. Will definitely visit again.
Great little hole in the wall place !!!! Friendly staff and patrons. We have been looking for a neighborhood place to just sit back and enjoy, this is it! We had the fried mushrooms and shared the fish and chips. It came out piping hot and was just all yummy!
Visited the fox and hounds with my wife we had a meal there. Steak and kidney pie and fries that was very nice and plentiful. The staff are very polite and friendly highly recommend a visit. We will certainly be going back.
If you have not been to London yet, or you have returned and loved and miss their pub food…this Is where you can quickly get introduced or reunited. This was our second time here while visiting the area. It was a good find. The shepherds pie, fish and chips, and mushy peas were the best ever….time tested traditional. This is the real deal….it is the pub around the corner…
I love English Pubs, many try and recreate the vibe and ambience, but most are just gimmicky clones. Especially in this area of tourism and theme parks.Just look at all the Irish Pubs which are little more than sports bars with shamrocks. This bar isn't like that at all. I came on a not so busy night, with the intention of nice order of Fish & Chips and a place to relax. The food was great, and while I just observed most of the time, the chemistry between the barkeep and the regulars, the patrons among themselves, and both to me an outsider..outside... I was thoroughly impressed and will return again.I highly recommend this Pub.
Pretty cool bar. People are friendly here. Service is great. Relaxed atmosphere. They have a really cool trivia night on Thursdays.
Omg amazing staff and food. A home town feeling. Locals treat you like family. Bartender amazingly sweet. Guinness on draft. Felt like I was back in England. recommend you try this place. you will miss out on something special if you dont try it.
