Great food and friendly service. The bread service is a must have, delicious! 5*
Always a great experience. Food was excellent and staff even better.
Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, food was good, worth a try
Great food, great service, great everything!Definitely get the bread service. We filled up just from that and a mango smoothie! If you're lucky enough to get a table near a window, enjoy the view of all the beautiful animals that walk around the property. It was majestic to say the least.
We dined at Sanaa during our stay at Walt Disney World and travelled from another resort after seeing positive reviews (albeit from before the pandemic) about its African-inspired menu. Unfortunately, we were left underwhelmed by poor service and lacklustre food that compared unfavourably to similarly-priced table service restaurants across Disney property. The bread service came closest to living up to what we’d read of Sanaa’s reputation and it was certainly a portion fit for two or more, with medium to mild condiments and an array of flatbreads (though certainly no “hot” spices, by UK standards at any rate). Sadly, our server was rude and abrupt after we pointed out our table was unstable/rocking to the point water was spilling. He said the issue was well known and insisted we return to reception to seek alternative seats, despite the restaurant being fully booked. Having travelled for over an hour to make our reservation we instead tried to calm things down and avoid a confrontation, but sadly this left a bitter taste we struggled to overcome. It’s worth pointing out this was by far the most unpleasant interaction with a staff member we had in our 14 night stay at Disney World. Don’t travel from another Disney resort to dine here and instead consider the wonderful Tiffins at Animal Kingdom Park where the service and food quality feel like they’ve come from a different planet compared to Sanaa. That said, Sanaa may prove to be an acceptable option for those staying at the impressive Animal Kingdom Lodge hotel.
We loved it! The bread service was the star of the show and the dips to go with it were all so tasty. Our server even brought out a bonus spicy dip as she knew I liked spicy food. (It was very hot) I then had the seafood curry and my wife had the sustainable fish with coconut gravy and it was incredible, so well cooked and very soft! Service was wonderful, overall an amazing meal.
Restaurant is in Animal Kingdom. You do not have to have park pass to eat here. You just need to have reservation straight from the restaurant. There is a parking in the restaurant grounds and you will show your restaurant reservation to get in for parking. It's free parking. Their food is a flare of African Indian where it was so amazing experience and delicacy. Their drinks are so good as well you will get another round... or two! The service is top notch Disney customer service. Outside of the restaurant you have access to see the zebras and giraffes. A must-do restaurant experience when you have a short stay in Orlando, like being in a conference. Will surely go back!
On our first trip to Disney we wanted to indulge in everything Disney had to offer. Our first stop was to Sanaa for a light appetizer and drinks. We hopped on the bus from our resort to Animal Kingdom and then hopped on the bus from Animal Kingdom to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Due to circumstances outside of our control we were about 10 minutes late for our reservation. Thankfully the restaurant was slow and we were able to still be seated. Located on the first floor of Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can either take the flight of steps down, or the elevator. The restaurant is African themed with a African / Indian inspired menu. Creatively designed the restaurants bay windows overlook the savannah where you can see giraffes, zebras and so many other animals roaming the grounds. They are most active in the morning or the vening when it is cooler outside. We shared the Indian-style Bread Service. Taken directly from their posted menu: Choice of Five Breads and with all Nine Accompaniments - Traditional Naan, Garlic-Ginger Naan, Spiced Naan, Onion Kulcha, or Paneer Paratha. Accompaniments - Cucumber Raita, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mango Chutney, Tomato-Date Jam, Tamarind Chutney, Coriander Chutney, Garlic Pickle, Red Chile Sambal, or Spicy Jalapeño-Lime Pickle. My personal favorites were the cucumber raita, and tomato date jam. Our server, Nina, was absolutely amazing. She set the tone for the remainder of our day. She was engaging, made recommendations on drinks, and food, she was welcoming and warm. She really made you feel like a friend. At the end of our appetizers, Nina pixie dusted us with a complimentary dessert. A house special Kheer which was to die for. Its Disney, you are always going to pay a premium, but the food was moderately priced.
Food was tasteless and expensive. Ordered the shrimp curry meal . Tasted like nothing and was disappointed. Bread service was OK but would rather eat a cold mickey pretzel (and i hate pretzels)than eat this overpriced tasteless food. I told the manager ,but they tried to replace it ,but had to take multiple busses and didn't have time to wait for more garbage food. Still paid over $150 for nothing and had to go back and eat quickservice food for another $60 . So spent over $200 on food that I didn't want and nobody cared. Order groceries from Walmart don't give these crooks more money for underwhelming slop
We had an exceptional experience at Sanaa . The food was superb , location stunning and our table looked out on giraffe and antelope which was just amazing . Our server ‘josh’ was absolutely superb and made the visit very special . His knowledge of the menu , cocktails and wine was superb and he went above and beyond to assist us . We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone . Thank you for this special dining experience which is far better than some of Disney’s signature restaurants
