Peace, love and crabs. And shrimp. And mussels and clams and fries and.... Love me some Joe's. I haven't eaten at the Crab Shack in 15 years or so--honestly, it was a little pricier and with fewer steamed options than I remembered--but the Steamer was delicious and bountiful. The rest of our party enjoyed their dinners too (including the two who, curiously, had the chicken!??). Hope it won't be 15 years before I eat there again.
The bar area was where we sat and both bartenders were fabulous positive attentive and go that extra mile to help the customer and provide exceptional customer service. I don't remember our waitresses name she worked today on Mothers Day with Nicholas behind the bar. You were super. I appreciate everything you did to make our visit a pleasure. It was our first visit, but because of you it will definitely not be our last. Thank you so much for making mine and my mother's Mother's Day special.
staff was a little unprofessional food was great lots of food clean has outdoor seating with a playground for the kids
I had the shrimp platter and it was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. Fun interior. Only downside was the fish tacos, the fish was a little over done.
We called ahead for a table for 10 for a birthday party. When we arrived, the table had not been prepared. Server was pleasant and helpful. We are out of lemonade so pick something else. After all the food was ordered and delivered, I was told that the mushroom dish I ordered couldn't be made as they were out of mushrooms. Ended up with shrimp/crab dip and chips which was delivered AFTER everyone was done eating. No offer of compensation. Since that dish was $1 more than the mushroom dish I ordered, he even charged me the extra dollar. Manager came by and asked how everyhing was, someone said other than not getting the mushroom dish, ok. He simply said, yeah, they just came in. No apology or offer to replace with something. Sad experience.
Food was not good smh I was expecting better quality for there prices
Joe always has delicious lunches and dinners, which is why my wife and I go fairly frequently whenever we see one.Today was a special day, since we decided on lunch at 1:30 to 2pm, we had alot of extra attention. We were so happy with the attention the Manager, ( I think Kim was her name ) and our greeter and our server that we gave a bigger than 30% tip.The food is worth it and the service was worth it. Being retired, we value our money, but we continue to respect those who are hard working, considerate and precise. We will be back here and to others.
This was the WORST experience. It took over two hours to even get the food. The only reason we didn’t pay for the drinks and leave was because two people at our table had their hearts set on crab. They were disappointed. What wasn’t stale, overcooked, or cold did not have any flavor. The manager tried to blame the kitchen (who bares some responsibility), but other tables came and went during our two hour wait. Don’t bother. You’ll waste both your time and money. Not worth it. Go to Chick-fil-A.
The calamari was so heavily coated in batter you could barely taste the actual calamari. It took 45 minutes to get our food. When it was brought out it was missing four items. Nothing was given to me to open my crab. The waitress was gone for extended periods. I sat there with no way to eat my food for 10 minutes. Then it only took me 10 minutes to eat the food because there was barely anything in my steam pot. There was this little tiny net with one little lump of crab, a sausage and four shrimp. That is what I paid $40 for. The drinks were often empty. The corn tasted like it had been frozen before being cooked. Much of the food went uneaten. Over $150 for a meal that tasted like something that came from the freezer section.
It all tasted super good even though it was a little pricey. Would definitely recommend.Further detail:We all kinda shared but we got a kids crab meal, a kids burger meal, and the captains plate. The crab was super good and cooked really well. The fish was crispy and not terribly greasy. The fries were good, the burger was a little overcooked but that's the way we like it. Some of the food was a little expensive (which is why I suggest the kids crab), but it was worth it. We also got the strawberry Fiji fusion drink in the souvenir cup, which tasted like a strawberry lemonade with some bubbles, and the shark attack, which was strange, but tasty and has a fun experience with it.
