Came in on a Sunday afternoon, party of 8 adults and 3 children. Place was nearly empty. Service was very slow. The menu does not explain what you are ordering and the waitress did not explain anything. You just need to know or be surprised. Example Swiss cheese on a kid’s cheeseburger. Glass cup for a 3 year old. Foam cup with no lid on second try. After it was spilled a cup with lid was provided. Mariquitas were soggy and had chunks of pork in it. Frying oil is old. They assume you want sugar in your coffee. Some of the food was cold. Sandwich bread was old and over toasted. Bread would just break apart when you bite into it.
After a few hours of flying into Orlando, I was thrilled to find that there was a Cuban restaurant right across from my motel to get into the local mood. I was surprised that the restaurant was completely empty when I got there at around 7pm. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. I can't remember the name of the dish I ordered, but you can judge from the photos. :P
We had 6 of us, the waitress didn't speak English and couldn't explain anything.Prices were outrageous and service was terrible. There was only 1 other table of people. No one came to talk to us and the owners were just standing around like grumpy people. We had to repeatedly ask for drink refills and they automatically put a 15% tip for terrible service.Never Return.
Great Food Iam a real Authentic Cuban from Miami and this place is 100% Authentic. A lil pricey but Good. If ur cuban or hispanic don't listen to other review stated food was not good.
The entire party did not like their Cuban sandwiches that did not come with real fries. Instead tiny potato chip fries. Friends stated the Cubans were dry. We asked for water and got charged $2 for warm bottled water without asking our permission to charge. Make sure if you go that you say tap water! I did like the ropa veja however it was a bit costly at $20 because they charge for rice and beans and plantains. The plantains were good but a poor value for a side charged item. 3 small bites. Fried Yuka with side of garlic sauce was actually very crispy and good. I would not make a point to bring friends here or return, however, because of the hidden upcharges and poor report on Cuban sandwiches. I tasted Cuban and it wasn't bad to me but it could have definitely used more flavor and moistness. Go elsewhere and save your money. Matter of fact get off of I drive. We would have been happier anywhere else. We asked for separate checks and we had to walk up to the register and get it straightened out because it was not separate. Not good. Not coming back.
Very Bad!Staff didn't speak English which normally I don't mind I'm bilingual myself but when you can't even say welcome to Havana kiss it's an embarrassment to the person who's too lazy to make an effort to better themselves even for their job which pays their bills moving on the rice and beans were okay I couldn't quite make out the maduros I couldn't tell if they were fresh or made to look fresh; either way they certainly didn't taste fresh made...the onion steak was one of the worst I've ever had and I've had plenty.Lastly the coffee: how do you get Cafe Con leche wrong? I ordered it warm but it came piping hot so I had to wait about 35 minutes for it to cool down only to discover there are coffee grinds in the foam and coffee grinds on the bottom it was as if instead of putting sugar they just scooped in a couple spoonfuls of coffee grinds. So all in all if you can't even get the coffee right then imagine the rest of it!I would like to say the service was very good but I won't as I was the only person there so make of it what you want.In conclusion: if you haven't been here you're not missing anything you're actually better off for it!!
I had high expectations on this restaurant as this was my first time trying Cuban cuisine however my experience was not so great. The food in general had a lot of garlic and not enough salt. I also felt some items were overpriced to the final result. The high point was the juice, it was amazing to taste their passion fruit juice.
Our experience in the us place was horrible. The food was not seasoned well and over price. They prices change with out notice. One of your family’s payed $175 for two entrants and one appetizer. The rest of our group pairs about $80 to $100. We would never go back to this place again. It was not worth the price or the experience.
Uncooked fish , over price food, music is great but way too loud you can’t use your phone when you there the waitress took for ever to check but I tip her good because there is not anyone alse helping her price is too much for the poor quality of the food this is for you guys to better your self not to harm your business!!!
If you know absolutely nothing about a Cuban sandwich or what to expect, go here. I've never in my life had a Cubano made with pork jerky, bread that was toasted in an oven instead of brushed with butter and grilled. The meat was so dry that the crouton-like roll was a refreshing bite of hydration.
