The whole experience is wonderful. The staff is great. The rooms are clean and we love the Villas. I wish there were fans under the covering at Cheeks. We like to sit outside. The tables around the pool go quickly because there is shade and fans. That's not a knock just a personal wish.
Stayed three days for the parrot head celebration. OMG what a terrific time! Super fun events all day long and the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Great breakfast buffet. The huge pool is outstanding, and if you're looking for some quiet relaxing time visit the beach.
Coming from the UK, this was a rare chance for us to visit a nudist/naturist resort in the USA, and we weren't disappointed. The room was great and the associated service was perfect. Two pools to choose from, though the newer one seemed to be used mainly by people standing around chatting, rather than swimming. Unlike in other reviews, I wasn't aware of too many people going against the nudist ethic. Personally, I prefer a place where one can be nude all day, unlike some resorts where there is a tangled misture of rules depending on the time or place, and Cypress Cove fits the bill. Sadly, the larger restaurant was closed, but the Cheeks bar stepped up to the mark. As someone from the UK (and I hesitate to admit this) I found the qualty of the fish and chips to be equal to the best back home, and frankly better than most. Keep it up, guys! Apart from the pools and hot tubs, there is a well equipped gym, and I spent many days paddling quietly around the lake enjoying the wild life (herons, anhingas [I think] and alligators). I would advise the use of some insect repellent, though, as there are plenty of bugs who regard you and me as lunch. Apparently, June, when we were there is one of the wetter months, but given the heat (40C/104F one day), the odd thunderstorm was a welcome relief. For those wanting the odd day out, Disney and Universal are not far away, as is Cape Canaveral, and we were lucky enough to see a launch during the tour of the last. Would I visit again? Given the chance, definitely, but being several thousand miles away, it may be a while yet!
The best resort for a three-day birthday calibration, without the need for clothing. The restaurant food was varied and tasty. Two pools to choose from. The room was large and well-appointed with everything we needed.
I tent camped here. Tent sites are on one side of the little pond. There's ample parking and easy access. Really pretty in the mornings and evenings. The pools (nudity required) at Cypress Cove are so nice and everyone is super friendly. Highly recommend it for people comfortable with naturalist and nudist experiences or for those who want to try it.
Just got back from a great weekend here. Amazing staff, great community, awesome facilities, and all around warm comfortable environment. We will be back soon!
Our first time experiencing this type of environment, we were surprised by how comfortable it really was! Definitely planning on coming back and staying for longer than a day!
Glad to be back! We had an great time during our stay. Weather was great! At various times during our stay and especially during our first couple of days we noticed that the number of clothed people was more than we have ever noticed in years past. Once it got to the point that we almost felt uncomfortable being completely nude (at a nudist resort). This visit, for the first time ever; we saw individuals in full regular bathing suits laying out in the pool area. While these covered individuals were certainly not the majority, it was still very unusual to see. Seems as in years past, full nudity was the norm almost everywhere, especially inside the pool gate. Even recall previously seeing a sign at every pool area entrance that proclaimed “Nude Area”. Signs now read “Nude only in pools and hot tubs”. Not really a fan of the clothing optional anywhere and everywhere rule as we usually spent our days completely nude while there. Clothed people at the Cove are like vegans going to a steak tasting festival. It just doesn’t make sense. The fact that my spouse’s comfort level was compromised to the point of desiring to cover up was very disheartening. We travel hundreds of miles and spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to enjoy our time nude. Vacationing nude is the one special aspect of the Cove that makes it what it is and what it always has been. I do wish they would designate some “nude only areas” once again, not just the water. Of course first time nudists need their time, but those we saw in bathing suits or full street clothes had no intention of disrobing. One out of 10, 000 pool areas is made for nudists so why dress for the 9, 999 and visit the one? Now don’t get me wrong, the room was great and the resort grounds were well maintained. The bottom of the older pool looked a little questionable. Not sure if that was staining or what, but we decided not to get in that one. The large free form pool was great and was busy all week! As far as our room, we stayed in a villa that was very near the pool area. The walk to the pool and to Cheeks was short and convenient. Food was great and the staff was very nice and helpful. Music was great poolside and we were glad to hear newer music and not 50s or 60s tunes. I could tell they were trying to incorporate newer music and that was appreciated! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and of course we will be back. Only concerns were noted above regarding the “dress / undress code”. Otherwise, the Cove once again delivered! If you have never been, you should!
Once again, we came in with the highest expectations because of our previous 5-star experiences, and once again, Cypress Cove managed to blow our experience out of the water. We sprung for a suite this visit, and having the full kitchen was a great amenity we will probably always opt for in the future. Tabitha, Lena, and Rose, as always, took great care of us at the bar, and the chef is absolutely KILLING it in the kitchen. Dave brought the fun and entertainment to the pool, in spite of weather that sent us all scurrying. The ladies at the check-in desk were helpful and knowledgeable for our needs from beginning to end. The vibe in general is vacation meets nature, without any of the unspoken expectations some of the more “swinger-y” resorts in the area give off. Goes without saying that this will not be our last visit.
Please bear with me on this review in case I get too philosophical. I had a morning to kill in Florida close to the Cypress Cove Nudist Resort. Like my last trip, I opted to skip the coffee shop latte and instead visit my third nudist resort. The entrance gate to CC is across from a typical suburban strip mall. You turn into what looks like your average residential community. The guard at the gate was very personable and took care of the administrative details very efficiently. Once inside Dee gave me a quick friendly, no pressure, tour and turned me loose. What did I find? Well, you can read other reviewer's comments about the gorgeous facilities, enormous lake and tranquil, immaculately landscaped community. I can only add that those descriptions are absolutely accurate. I hiked around the grounds for about an hour to get a feel for the place. In the residential section you do feel like you are in a typical very well-maintained suburban community. Next, I went by the very active pickleball courts and was immediately welcomed and invited to play. I wound up playing pickleball for almost 2 hours with a whole group of uncommonly friendly people. To me the atmosphere of a resort is determined partly by the facilities, but more so by the demeanor of the staff and guests/residents. And I felt welcome at every step along this visit (the guard, to the tour, to the residential streets, to the pickleball courts). Now here is where I may get too philosophical for some. As mentioned previously, this was the 3rd nudist resort I have visited. And I am now left wondering if the reason people at these resorts are so friendly is because: 1. nudist resorts attract friendly people or 2. people become a lot friendlier when they bare their skin To sum it up, my impression of Cypress Cove is - a great facility with a wonderful clientele. If I am in the area again, I will definitely plan to visit here again. After my visit there I did actually think of the lyrics to an old song: I see skies of blue, and cloud of white ...... Yes, I think to myself What a wonderful word!
