My husband especially liked the crunchy breading on the chicken fried steak and we both loved the mashed potatoes with white gravy. I got the deal where you pick 4 sides plus a soup or salad and they all tasted great. After a bit we thought everything was a tad too salty but we love salt so we just drank a lot of water. This was a Friday night and the place was packed but the kitchen still got everything out in a timely manner. Good service. The only reason we didn’t give it five stars is we have a new Cheddars near our house and we like the cooking there better, perfectly seasoned. But maybe because it was Friday the cook was too busy to taste the food.
Sad to say. Went today. Ordered chicken fried steak. It had about 2 inches of pure batter on it and over cooked. Ordered it with baked potato which was server to me cold and which the butter that was on it wouldn't even melt. I Asked for lemons for my iced tea and received lemons that had already been squeezed already. They quickly took the food away once i pull my camera out. Horrible, Totally unacceptable. Only photo i was able to take was the lemons. Managers apology was unsympathetic.
The croissants here are delicious!! I ordered the ribeye and it was also delicious! The wait time was not long to be seated but the food did take a while. My daughter ordered a steak that was under cooked and the manager came out and apologized. He went and cooked her a new one that was absolutely perfect!! The fried cheese appetizer is so good. We will definitely be coming back when we visit this area!!

Shout out to the Kitchen team on Sunday 3/27/22. We were there in the evening around 530 pm. I ordered a ribeye, medium rare. It was perfectly cooked from the inside out. Entire meal was fantastic. My wife enjoyed her Sirloin and sides as well. Our waitress, I forgot her name unfortunately(Comic Book Mask girl) was attentive, and prompt. Well done on this ticket.
Update after covid-19 (May 2021):We're regulars now at this Cheddar's. It's our go to for homestyle cooking. They don't have much of the old menu items like the meat loaf which was my fav. They did add the blackened tilapia which was delicious. Croissant is still great. Manager Todd was so helpful! They struggle with staffing. It was a very long wait so we started eating at the bar. The bartender was awesome! When we finally got a table it did take a while to get served. But it's still worth coming back to Cheddar's. I hope they bring back the ground beef queso and onion rings.____This is our first time at Cheddar's. We've past it so many times and decided to take a chance. The place was nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our Waitress Christina was great. She started us off with a croissant with honey butter. The mixed drinks, Pina Colada and the Punch, were strong, stronger than we expected. We ordered the sampler which was yummy. The queso was the best! Also, we ordered the Monte Cristo which was very good!! We don't see this item in many restaurants so it was nice to see this option. I wanted to try their chocolate cake with ice cream but had no more room. It's kinda comparable to TGIF but what makes it better is that they do everything from scratch and had more options. The price was also very good and affordable.
The food is above average, the service has been poor the last two times we were there. The server brings out the meals right along with your appetizer. Then they figure there job is done, because you have the payment tablet on the table for the check. Good luck getting refills, or trying to find or flag down your server. The food can’t make up for the poor service.
place filled up fast. Food was OK a bit salty for our liking and the pasta was cold in spots. Det Lions waitress was fun to talk to. We had 2 kids meals, the honey mustard chicken, New Orleans pasta and The Chix fried steak. Wife liked the Honey Mustard Chix and I liked the Steak.
We first tried Cheddars in Orlando. We were blown away. So we were looking forward to going again. We are staying in Kissimmee. First impression- not impressed. We opted to eat at the bar. It was dirty. Had to ask for it to be wiped down. Menus were dirty too. We were close yo leaving. But decided to stay. The food was very good. Not sure if we round go back though. Because of the cleanliness issue.
