When eating vegan at a restaurant, a terrific restaurant leaves me with the impression that it’s “terrific for a vegan restaurant”. The Cafe’s food competes with the best casual restaurants I have ever eaten in - vegan or not!! Fresh, delicious, extremely tasty. The chef is a genius!!! Also the staff is amazing and knowledgeable - especially Branden. She is a star!!!
After reading all the positive reviews, my husband and I decided to give the Cafe a try. We walked in and the place is small but very cute. We grabbed a couple seats at the bar/ counter. For breakfast I went with the salmon eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the green goddess omelet. The food did take some time to come out, but once it did it was perfect and very tasty. I would definitely return to the cafe for breakfast. Maybe even try it too for dinner.
Excellent food but AWFUL service. We have visited twice and the staff were extremely rude to us both times. We ordered take out due to us both feeling under the weather and not wanting to expose the staff to our illness. When we ate outside a staff member came out and yelled at us for wasting the take away packaging. We explained to her our reasoning for not wanting to dine inside and expose them. We also hate wasting anything and take utensils, etc everywhere we go to reduce our waste. By far the rudest people we have encountered on our trip. Despite their amazing vegan options, we may not return.
Loved it here. The tofu wing dings were fried well, and all the other food we had was delicious as well. I had the ‘chicken’ salad sandwich and the curry was great. Also had their special drink the honey lemon ginger tonic and it was so good!
We loved this place. We popped in for breakfast as they did huevos rancheros, and enjoyed it so much we returned for dinner. The place has a really nice relaxed, slightly alternative vibe, a bit different to most of Key West. The food was a bit lighter and healthier than many places, but still very tasty indeed. There was also a good selection of drinks including some nice craft beers. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely recommended.
My husband and I went here for dinner on day 2 of our trip to celebrate our 30th anniversary. They were obviously short staffed, with only 2 waiters serving more than a dozen tables. When I young couple with a young boy arrived, they waited so long for a seat that their young son walked to a nearby table and started playing with the utensils. No one noticed, and they were seated at another table. You've been warned. That said, our food was very good. The portions were huge.
It's a great spot for people who are into vegetarian and vegan food and want to support local cafe in Key West.Staff are extremely friendly and customized the food as per dietary restrictions. We ordered one of their most popular salad. It comes with a few dressing. Salad was huge and was extremely filling.Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a vegetarian restaurant in key west.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was so fresh, flavorful and was a large portion for the price. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Friendly and attentive service and warm and welcoming atmosphere. Went twice in my 3 days stay in Key West and will be thinking about this place for a long time. Just go.
Recommended by an art gallery owner--a fantastic meal. Fresh food, expertly prepared, in a laid back environment. One of the most enjoyable meals we have had on our trip through the Keys.
The food is absolutely amazing, my family and I have dined here twice on our vacation and have been happy both times. The drinks and food are super fresh and tasty. The staff is super friendly. They do seem understaffed, so be patient and kind, it’s worth it.
