We love this little gem of a restaurant! The margaritas are made with fresh squeezed lime juice and are refreshing and delicious. We ordered raw oysters, which were some of the freshest and yummy we've had! I would highly recommend this restaurant
We make a point to eat here every time we’re in Key West. We typically eat breakfast there; however, this trip we ate dinner there. The meal I had was Yellow Fin Snapper with a Crab sauce over it with grilled shrimp and scallops. I’ve ate a lot of scallops before this trip but not like these. Whatever the Chef did to prepare them was well received. I took a bite and they honestly melted on my tongue. My tastebuds were overwhelmed and I was one happy person. If you eat here be sure to ask for the specials and or eat from the menu. Anyway you go, you want be disappointed.
We loved Pepe’s! It has a lot of character and great food. We went for breakfast and everything was marvelous. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
This restaurant does not know the definition of egg Benedict, overcooked eggs. If they don’t know how to poach eggs they should not be on the menu. Still got charged even though I did not eat them. The server did not come back til everyone was done with their food so I could not even tell her they were over cooked. I suggest if you want a good breakfast go across the street to Cuban coffee queen, they do not disappoint.
After eating at Pepe’s for decades, I’m disappointed for the first time. The sweet bread of the day always drew me in. Imagine being told the bread of the day was Honey Wheat. Yuck! They clearly have a new baker who is not of the same skill set as the previous one. The cinnamon raisin bread last week tasted like store bought “quick bread” out of a box. The quality of the bread is nothing like the version showcased in Gourmet Magazine years ago! PLEASE start using the original recipe and bring back the tried and true flavors your customers crave: Raspberry Walnut, Coconut, Butter Pecan, Banana Nut, and Key Lime. Just google the recipe. It’s on the internet.
I think Pepe's Cafe is supposed to be the oldest restaurant in Key West, and from the outside it looked like it. But the food and service were really good, some eclectic artwork on the walls and sassy atmosphere (your check is delivered to your table in a mousetrap) made for a great experience.
We figured we can't visit Key West without having at least one meal at the oldest restaurant. We went there for breakfast on our last morning. Service was fast and friendly and the meal was good. We tried their homemade bread, and it was very good.
ive eaten a cow at this place came in last week , what happened to not changing anything , yet it was horrible. steak used to be good , now forget it its nasty, everyone in my family noticed changes in the meals .also noticed every face ive seen for years has left or been replaced some ive seen 15 or more years.
Breakfast 2 days during our visit this time. Get there early or some days there’s a line and a wait.Prompt service and always good service. Food is always good and a good amount of food for your money.Classic Old Town Key West.
What a good find! Good Food, Great Service!! Omelets are big. Make sure you try bread of the day! Was easy to find parking.
