Fantastic ice cream! You can taste the quality and care that goes into it. I had what I thought was an odd combo, Cuban Coffee and Key Lime Pie... but it was awesome! K., who runs the place, assured me it wasn't that weird. She was super helpful and friendly. I would have taken a picture but i didn't have my phone and the ice cream was so good I wouldn't have wasted time with pictures anyway. I'll be back!
The cookie is absolutely delicious!! The ice cream is amazing! And the picture is just one scoop! And thank you for the kind man who helped me carry the ice cream ?
The best Key Lime Pie I've had so far. It was what i pictured an ideal Key Lime Pie would taste like. I went on a Key Lime pie your during June of 2021 and again March 2022 and have tried close to 20 different Key Lime pies from Miami down to Key West and this was my #1. I can't even tell you how sad I am that they don't ship it or sell the recipe...that I know of. It's a must try if in Key West.
My husband and I did a self guided key lime pie tour and this, from Miami to Key West, was the absolute BEST slice of key lime pie. Made in house and so fresh. The lady behind the counter was super nice.
Mattheessen' has friendly and personable service and outrageously delicious ice cream. Make a point to go here if you are in Key West.

I'm never disappointed whatever I get. My favorite is the Brownie Explosion. I also love the peanut butter cookies and the macaroons! Favorite ice cream flavors: Toasted Coconut and Cuban Coffee. Treat yourself the next time you're walking down Green St.
Absolutely Excellent!! They give you extra large amounts compared to other places . Ice cream and baked goods are all hand made. Love this place!
The chocolate key lime pie was good, but it is frozen chocolate so have to let it melt a bit before biting in. The peanut butter cup milkshake was decent but a bit pricey.
