We ordered 4 Cuban Mix Sandwiches for a fishing trip. We were told no onions are put on their Cuban Mixes. When we opened our sandwiches on the boat, they had put onions on all our sandwiches and they were NOT pressed!! We were all so disappointed....especially so since we were excited to introduce one of our party to authentic Cuban Mix Sandwiches....which these were not. Decent sandwiches but NOT authentic food Cuban Mixes!
Kim’s Kuban is the local spot for the best Cuban sandwich. Their Cafe con leche is by far the best as well. They open at 06:00 and close at 17:00 (Mon-Sat). The owners are so friendly, and creat customers with a smile. The shop gets busy, and they do offer delivery. Seating is very limited, but if you visiting Key West, this place deserves your business.
I ordered eggs and hash browns. What I got was a gross, greasy smashed bread with a greasy flat egg and McDonald’s quality hash browns all soaked in oil and grease. Threw it in the trash.
Discriminatory! Showed up at 4:52 and a lady came out and told me they were closed … website said they were open until 5. No problem, though, I turned and walked back to the car. Then four guys showed up on scooters and they were offered menus!Edit to reply… If you close the kitchen at 4:50, then that should be the closing time, not 5:00. I’ve visited your restaurant before and talked it up to my family. Both times I’ve tried to visit, I’ve been turned away! Thanks, but I won’t be back! Many reviews have said the food has gone downhill with bread being flat and greasy. There are plenty of other great places to eat in Key West. Good luck ?
I've been ordering from the place quite a bit. TodayI was displeased to find that my guava cheesedanish was burned and rock hard. I called to notifythem of the issue. The guy was very rude firststating they don't make them, he was yelling theentire conversation and responded like I was majorannoyance to him. I said okay, well you shouldcheck your danishes, I wasn't really calling because Iwanted anything. Just to let them know. I asked formaybe a new one next time I come in... to which hisresponse was again aggressive and rude. Yelling ina loud disrespectful tone. Never did he offer tobring it in for a new one or just say "thanks forletting us know." After it seems we were going to continue to fight over a 3$ danish I ended the conversation. Disappointed. I'll betaking my business elsewhere.
Small place - most folks get takeout from here … just a few counter seats. Probably the best Cuban sandwich in Key West. Fast service, low prices, friendly staff.

Never did he offer to bring it in for a new one or just say "thanks for letting us know." I did not expect to be arguing with some on the phone over a danish. Disappointed, and i’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
Good mix of Cuban and Mexican food. Parking is tight but food is good.
Which is better -- the Cuban sandwich or the breakfast sandwich with chorizo. For full details, see John tanners bbq blog and search "Kuban"
Great customer service! Food was fresh and reasonably priced. Would definitely eat here again!
