The Hyatt Centric Key West is the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. We've been doing so annually for at least the past 20 years, and the hotel never disappoints. The sunset views, right on the Gulf of Mexico, are outstanding. The Hyatt's location, one block off Duval Street, is perfect. You're close to the action, yet far enough away not to be overwhelmed by it. The Blue Mojito Bar and Grill and SHOR provide excellent drinks and eats. Our room was spacious, with a King+ bed. The Housekeeping staff is great, too. We've recommended the Hyatt Centric Key West to many friends over the years, and we will continue to do so proudly.
The Hyatt Centric is a lovely place to stay in key west. Great service that makes you feel at home by providing all that is needed. I didn’t use many of the offerings since this was a quick trip. The sunset tour booking through the gift shop went fantastically.
Fire alarm went off 8 times in one night due to “heat in elevator”. Next day it went off again due to testing without notice; and was only notified after walking down the stairs to be told by the manager that it was not an emergency, but had to walk back up the stairs and not able to take the elevator. Housekeeping ignored do not disturb sign several times. Shower wand and fan did not work, maintenance never came despite calling every day of stay and talking to the manager several times about it. When a bug was reported to the manager, all that was offered was a drink ticket.
The hotel is in a great location. I highly recommend speaking to the concierge regarding recommendations on activities and dining before arriving. I was able to plan a memorable anniversary trip. Overall the condition of the hotel is good however not what I would expect for a Hyatt. Some areas of the hotel needed paint touch ups and repairs such as the ceiling in the pool bar area. Some of the furniture in the room such as the couch was stained/worn as well a chipped tile on the floor. The sliding glass door to the balcony did not lock it was reported on the first day of my stay and was not fixed by my departure. Overall it was a great stay but I would probably take a second look at other area hotels before staying here again.
This hotel was amazing! The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. They provide champagne on your arrival! The hotel room it self had a nice view of the ocean (Partial Ocean View Room) and comfortable room/nice bathroom. This hotel was very clean which is also nice. The hotel had a nice pool, awesome bar right by the pool where we had drinks and lunch every day. We spent most of our time on the sun deck overlooking the ocean and some boats! Nice place to view all the action on the water/nice boats going by but still very close to pool/bar/ocean etc. The hotel had a set of stairs that went into the ocean (a little rocky at first then its all sand) and we enjoyed that especially when most of key west has sargassum issues but not here! We also had the breakfast package which provided two entree's, two juices and two coffees at the hotel restaurant and the breakfast was very good with many unique options which had us excited to go every day and with great views of the ocean as well. The coffee shop located in the hotel was also amazing, we had iced coffee's every day and the ice cubes are made out of coffee as well! I would highly recommend this location (close to Duval and everything you would want to see paired with a great resort to spend the day in) Excited to go back!
View from the partial ocean view room. This place is fantastic. From now on, I will only stay here and at the pier house. The only improvement I can think of would be the beach area but there's a small public beach next door.
The most beautiful sunsets. Worth the stay; close to Duval Street. It will not disappoint. The staff is courteous and friendly. Close to everything you want to do and see in Key West. Restaurant and Bar were excellent as far as choices and taste. Take the plunge.....
The location of this hotel was perfect. Once we got here the only time we had to drive was when we went to the beaches. All the other major attractions and best restaurants were in short walking distance, which saved us had and money on parking. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because rooms could have been a nicer and more modern for the price. Also, The AC was very noisy which made it hard to sleep and the room was hot at night despite the AC being on.
Best hotel experience we have had in a long time! Hyatt always exceeds our expectations but the staff here was amazing. Hotel was nice and clean. Loved the poolside bar while the kids swam in the pool.
The GM Jessica and the Hyatt Centric Key West team truly exceeded our expectations , Great location , amazing water front location , highly recommend, if possible book an ocean front balcony room for sure ,
