Great spot for ice cold beer and some free popcorn!! We really enjoyed this place!! I love that this place has so much history and character!! Cant wait to come back!!
My last stop on the Key West Barmuda challenge after a long day of walking and vacation boozing. It’s was refreshing after not knowing what I was getting into over at the Half Shell portion of the challenge. Haha . They had a band playing while we were there on a Fri night. Was a great time and bartenders seemed to make sure everyone was constantly taken care of.
Great local bar, nothing fancy here, this is a great stop during the day or night. If you are looking to have a cold beer or drink and you want to talk or watch the game. This is your place. At night there are some great bands, very lively and you can have a good time.
Not just my favorite bar in Key West, but one of my top 10 nationally! Green Parrot is a reprieve from the crazies on Duval and a sanctuary for the weird and wonderful. Great juke box, but the live music is really what you want to check out. Saw a solid jazz band which was welcome change up from the cover bands that proliferate Key West bars. Easy going staff and regulars to strike conversation with.
Great music. If you're looking for the original Key West, here you are... Really old bar, good drinks, great decorations. Staff is awesome and non pretentious. Especially Micaela.
Really like this place. The bartender was absolutely fantastic. Gave really good suggestions. The patron seem to be very friendly struck up several conversations with other people. Very relaxed atmosphere. Free popcorn.
This was my favorite bar in Key West! So much history and character, you’ll see people of all walks come in for a drink. Quick and friendly service even when they are slammed. Don’t miss out on the Green Parrot!
Great times to be had at the Green Parrot!!! Grab some complimentary popcorn with your drink and enjoy great live music, pool darts and games, an old Jukebox with a great classic selection and an awesome vibe that only a long history can provide!
I can see the charm it offers but definitely not for me. Music the band was playing was like bluegrass and country. Lots of people smoking cigarettes so it was a bit hard to breath there. The popcorn was really good and for the most part the crowd was keeping mostly to themselves. I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy this place but it isn't really geared for me and the things I prefer.
Definitely a true local bar in Key West and one that is near the 0 Mile marker and is quite large on the inside. However once inside, its dark, dimly lit and there is the main bar open but the back bar is closed which I couldnt figure out why. Also very limited seating inside this place and one of the only bars with no daytime live music and no outdoor seating to found, except maybe a few chairs. Also not a lot of seating inside unless you are sitting at the main bar. We quickly went in and exited this place.
