On vacation in key west for 5 days and hit a ton of food spot. FRITA'S ... amaaaaazing. My husband and I ended up here twice because we just couldn't stop talking about it. Awesome food, charming atmosphere, friendly and amazing service. Cannot wait to come back and check in again. Beans and rice, burgers, sangria, churros... all incredible. I dont review often but this was totally deserving of 5 stars. I saw some of the bad reviews and gotta be honest, can't figure out what those people were thinking. We ate well here: blue heaven, garbos, BBQ, dj's clam shack, cuban coffee queen, and more. Frita's beats them all. Hands down.
Allllright, I don't do this often, but I'm 100% positive in this: If you come to Key West, or near Key West, Frita's is a must to stop and eat, period. As I sit here, It's difficult to describe in words how unbelievably delicious that burger was. It was one of the best things I've eaten. Seriously, words cannot begin to articulate. Do yourself a favor if you're in the Keys: Stop at Frita's, order the Frita Burgerwith ALL options (including the egg, this is important), and wash it down with a Palma while sitting in the charming courtyard. When you're cashing out, snag a flan and top off a monumental burger with a beautiful dessert. Much love from Massachusetts.
Four of us stopped for lunch on the outdoor patio. We ordered several items and enjoyed them all. The star of the show were the pork tacos and the empanadas. Henry was an attentive server. Food was ready quickly. We all voted that next time we are in KW we are Definately stopping at Fritz’s!
I came to this charmed window one night, exhausted and weary, and was brought to life by the best con leche I have ever had. To this day, and at least three Cuban coffee vendors on island say “see you tomorrow” to me every day when I leave.I consider the day I was invited to dine in the garden to be the opening of a magical portal. I can go there whenever I wish, except Mondays when they are closed ?. I always enjoy a cheerful, chill, moment at tables painted happily in bright colors, while the best food on the island is served with kindness by the same few amazing individuals who define the welcome and community of Key West. Nights can be blessed with live music, Coconut Koalas on Saturdays usually for me, which makes for wonderland dining in a fairytale setting. Just go here. Support them. Show the world this is what we want. Define the appreciation of quality with your patronage of this damn awesome establishment.
We went for dinner two nights. The first night we had the Cuban pork tacos (some of the best ever) and the fish tacos (kind of expensive and just a tad fishy to me). The elote is delicious. The second night we again had the elote again and Cuban pork tacos and the shrimp tacos (very good). Service is friendly. Eating is on the outdoor patio.
My favorites are the Traditional Frita Burger and the Cubanito Sandwich. Always friendly and fast service. You can eat in their courtyard or carry it over to the Parrot for a beer.
We have now tried all the favorite spots for Cuban sandwiches in Key West and we loved this place! We will definitely go back!
...a cue from the name and ordered burgers instead? Our Cubanito sandwich and Fish Frita were just ok. Service was friendly, but the boxy patio table was not to my knees.
We had the Cuban Burger with Manchego Cheese. It was very tasty and we really enjoyed their flavors and juiciness , and the yucca fries were delicious! The service was friendly and efficient, and eating outdoors was very nice!
We saw this place on a TV show. It was delicious, had the burger and tacos. Staff were friendly, but its tiny so look closely.
