Firefly was one of the only places we had made a reservation for before going to Key West and I am so glad we did. Brunch was delicious. My husband had the chicken and waffles, which I sampled and it was delicious. I had the shrimp & grits-perfect. Loved the little bites of chorizo throughout. Service was excellent, space was really cute and well air conditioned.
I had the "misfortune" of having their chicken and waffles the 1st time I visited the Keys in 2020. I live in Broward County and have searched high and low for another establishment that could match the taste of Firefly's.....Never happened. On my recent visit I ordered take out the day that I was heading home. I was not disappointed. The chicken is tender and seasoned just right but the coup de grâce is the pecans, that I think is part of the batter the chicken is fried in. After devouring my 1st order I called in another order for the road. Delicious!!!
Best breakfast! We alway stop here for breakfast when we are in Key West! The Shrimp and Grits and the Chicken and Waffles are our faves? Delicious coffee too!
We loved the Firefly. It's in a residential area so beware parking is very limited. The food is pretty amazing. Don't skip the fried green tomatoes - they are very good. The service was great. Dishes to try: the steak, the chicken and the meatloaf. Enjoy!
Very good food and great people! Very nice quiet atmosphere.The buttermilk biscuit with Strawberry preserves was amazing and the steak was cooked to perfection. Great place!

I always want to go here but never made a reservation. This time, I made a reservation ahead of time and was so glad I did. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining on the second level. The place is quite charming. I tried the pig ear appetizer and my husband had the Mac and cheese. Mine was definitely different lets just say. After a couple of pieces I had enough but it wasn't bad, but my shrimp and grits were excellent. And my husband enjoyed his bacon wrapped meatloaf. The menu is fun and different then other restaurants. I would definitely give them a try.
Simply fabulous food… we had the shrimp and grits, fried chicken sandwich with the garlic fries…we shared a biscuit to start and the jam made in house I could have consumed with a spoon! The Strawberry Spritz was quite delicious too!
A nice change of pace cuisine-wise from other restaurants we ate at in Key West. We tried a couple appetizers (fried green tomatoes and crab beignets) and split an entree (shrimp and grits). The shrimp and grits in particular is amazing!
We went several times this week to eat at Fire Fly for both brunch and dinner. The chicken & waffles is divine. The bacon is amazing as well. For dinner we had fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs as starters which were to die for. Dinner was fried chicken and potatoes. Crispy chicken and smooth potatoes. The Mac and cheese is hard to beat as an additional side. If you're around for brunch or dinner I highly recommend.
