Our first stop on our vacation. Love Cuban food. Busy restaurant especially on the 4th of July. A cruise ship was docked and other out of Towners made this an extra bustling place. We were seated right away. They also offer outdoor dining. Service was good considering the volume of people dining here. Extensive menu to meet everyone's cravings. We opted for their Special combination plate, #80 on the menu. Flavorful, fast service, good portions and filling. Restaurant displayed alot of cuban history, pictures, and decor. Took off one star because we saw how they carried the food trays that contained over 10 plates. They stacked the plates offset off the other plates and it touched the food. So... that plate was handled by the cook and/or server, then whatever was on the bottom of the plate is now on the food of someone's meal. Total turn off. Glad we were just a party of 2.

Good was average , tasty but didn't feel authentic. Our waitress Angelina was very authentic in kindness and being attentive. I wouldn't skip this place but didn't get the feel it was true Cuban cuisine. Pricing was fair for group of 4.

This is a very bustling restaurant in the heart of key west. We were lucky to get a table outside at its busiest time of the evening. Our server was very busy. She did stop and bring us water for the table. She neglected to come back and take our drink order. More on that later. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp which was plenty for me for dinner. It was a large enough portion for small dinner or a great shareable. It came with a great pineapple dipping sauce and served on plantain chips. Jack ordered the Lechon Asado which he loved.it was a good sized portion and well seasoned. I think that was all we saw of our server. I was glad I didn’t order a drink from the outside bar area. We sat at the table nearest the bar and while eating dinner I could see the bartender making drinks and shoving ice cubes in his mouth with his bar hands. He would literally grab a handful of ice and eat it while making drinks. Rather disgusting to watch. Cleanliness is key and this man was eating and putting garnishes on drinks at the same time. There was no one to tell as our server was MIA most of the time. The food was good but at what cost.

After a visit to the aquarium, we stopped here for lunch. Four adults and six kids would have been an annoyance at some restaurants, but we were seated quickly with smiles. Our server, Lolita, was awesome. Any time any of the kids whined, they were greeted with a clown nose and goofiness to calm them down. Many servers would be annoyed, but there was none of that! All of the food was awesome! My first time trying a Cuban, and it was delicious. I also really loved the cheese bread and salsa that was served. Overall a GREAT experience! Thank you for taking such great care of us!

I was so impressed with this restaurant! It was very crowded but fortunately we got a table outside. The service was great and the atmosphere was so fun. A live band was playing and they were very good. My husband had the PICADILLO HABANERO which he could not stop raving over. It came with black beans and rice. I had the GUACAMOLE CUBANO and it was delicious. I have never had plantains with guacamole but it was amazing. This may be my new way to eat guacamole. This dining experience was our favorite while in Key West.

This place was great!!! Definitely the best Cuban food we had for the week we stayed. Our server Donna was excellent. We will definitely make this a must do restaurant every time we go to Key West.

So far our waiter is on par. Connecting with the whole family, turning this into an excellent experience for everyone. Jose is really knowledgeable of the menu, and has a very fun personality. Truly making this an experience. The entire restaurant is full of history, lots of articles and relics of the Key West and Cuban histories. The food is definitely traditional, all the best aspects of good Cuban cooking. We will be returning!

The food was DELICIOUS! Our waitress, Ashley was AMAZING! She was training and I hope the the new waitress has the personable charm that came through from Ashley. We tried to get in here last year, waited in line for an hour to be told they would not be serving anyone else. Got there EARLY this year and so glad we did! Definitely worth the wait because we ate GOOD!❤️

Oh what fun! The authentic Cuban cuisine, the lively Mallory Square back drop at sunset and the salsa band and dancing was the perfect setting for this amazing and flavorful meal. Goodluck eating light... amusing visit experience!

What a treat! We wanted to experience authentic Cuban food, and this was it. The location was great being close to the water and sunset celebration after dinner. We relied on our waitress to make recommendations. Had the best mojito I've ever had. We had the mariquitas as an appetizer and Ropa Vieja (pork tenderloin) and Lechon Asado (beef) entrees. They were served with either yucca or plaintains and rice and black beans. The price was so reasonable and plentiful--we couldn't finish the entire plate. The atmosphere is fun and festive outside with the rooster and his chicken harem! That rooster was definitely the boss of his surroundings. Wish we had a restaurant like this at home! Because of Key West's Cuban heritate, this is a must!
