So good!!! Having eaten Maine lobster rolls in Maine and now at DJ’s…I was last in Maine 2021 and had one killer lobster roll in Maine compared to all other places in Maine but this one at DJ’s was phenomenal with LOTS of full claws. The staff was great and we LOVED IT!!! FYI - the most paid in Maine was $39 and this was really a steal for $42 with the amount of lobster on the roll!!!! Go for it.
Everything was Delicious! We had the Amazing Lobster Roll and Fried Clams. The steamers on the next table looked amazing. Could have eaten here every day.
Dj’s was one of the popular place to try the conch and lobster roll. Nice cozy spot, friendly service and the food was tasty but felt like something was missing. My kids and I tried the conch and I had the lobster roll. It was not bad just couldn’t put my hands on what was missing.
DJ’s clam shack was a great lunch option for us during our trip! Friendly staff and great food. As I’m not the biggest seafood fan, I had the chicken tenders and they were very above average. They were great! My friends loved the conch fritters. Fries and homemade BBQ sauce are also delicious.
The best service! Service has been challenged during the pandemic but this place was exceptional from greeting to departure. Thanks so much! To top it off out lobster rolls were legit and tasted both authentic and amazing. This place didn’t disappoint.
Delicious lobster rolls: fresh baked rolls stuffed full of lobster meat. Shady patio at the back, perfect with a Florida Keys brewed beer. The staff are personable.
These guys have it figured out! Amazing lobster rolls and the garlic shrimp rolls are great too. The place it tiny with several tables on a patio behind the "shack" but it really does not matter. The food is outstanding!
Best lobster roll on the island. Or anywhere. Not a soft hot dog bun, toasty bread, lots of lobster. Yes, other items are just as good, but that is our favorite
My family and I had lunch at DJ’s. The conch fritters were some of the best I have ever had. Staff was wonderful. Mahi Mahi tacos were loaded with fish as was the lobster roll.
It’s a shack, that should be your first clue. They’re sucking every minutes of fame out of their appearance on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives back in like 2014, that’s the second red flag. It’s fried seafood and bland lobster rolls served out of a shack, literally, and it’s fine if that’s what you’re looking for. However, you’re gonna pay 5-star restaurant prices for the “experience” of eating at DJs. The lobster roll is definitely packed with plenty of meat, but it’s tasteless. The conch fritters and the cracked conch are average. The ambiance…it’s a shack. If you absolutely have to eat here because you wanna say you did then go ahead. However, there are plenary of other great options around for less. If I’m paying $100 for 2 people to eat, not including alcohol, I want to sit down at a table and not have to fight the chickens, the people walking by on the sidewalk, and the rain. I also have to say, this is the second DDD restaurant that we’ve eaten at in the last few months that was not anything that it was cracked up to be by Guy Fieri.
