The rice is nasty I didn’t like the rice it was a weird smell and taste it’s probably the butter they use
It’s rare I am writing such a negative view in my head as I’m sitting in a restaurant waiting for my food. First of all, the place just felt dirty…food splatters on wall, food crumbs and chopstick wrappers on floor from prior diners (at 5:30), chairs not neatly pushed in, and no pictures on the walls or any greenery giving the place life. (Not sure why we stayed at this point). Waitress was spraying cleaner on a table, but not moving the open soy sauce container which received overspray. Speaking of the waitress, there was no polite interaction and she spent the whole time touching her face mask and moving it from her chin to over her mouth (but not over her nose so why even bother) and who wants a server to touch your food after she’s constantly touching your face? Just NO! If you’re wearing a mask fine, but keep it in place. The sushi rolls arrived and looked good and each had generous serving of fish, but unfortunately it was all just bland and I really couldn’t tell one roll from the other. The gyoza soup was just chicken broth with a dumpling and mushrooms. Not bad, but just chicken broth…could have been from a can and a frozen dumpling…Nothing unique or flavorful. Won’t be back. $60 wasted. Restaurant! Pay attention! Diners need more than this when food prices are high. You cannot be below average. Not fair to diners.
What an amazing experience. The sushi rolls were exceptional, along with the cooked seafood choices. The atmosphere was warn and comfortable. The staff provided excellent customer service, and and ensured we had a most pleasurable dinning experience. Our family had a very enjoyable evening out to dinner.You must try the Rock Roll Shrimp and the Fried Banana dessert.
This is my favorite sushi restsraunt and I am an avid customer of new japanese restaraunts. They staff are the most amazing people and the quality of their food reflects that, absolutley AMAZING! Everything on the menu is delicious. The spider roll, jalepeno himachi and nigiri blew my mind! I highly recommend you make this gem in Jupiter, FL your #1 sushi go to place, you wont regret it!
Best place for sushi!!! For food period.
I hadn’t been to a hibachi place for years so decided to visit Chubby Salmon over the weekend. While the decor is a bit dated and the space could use some refreshing, we decided to let the food speak for the restaurant and boy am I glad we did.Myself and my guest ordered hibachi dinners and a sushi roll each. The sushi tasted fine, nothing special, but the hibachi was AMAZING! While the “cooking showmanship” was competently done, it lacked the flare “tricks” that many other hibachi chefs perform while cooking. He did do an onion volcano though.Where this meal shined was the taste. Everything in my shrimp dinner was expertly prepared and tasted phenomenal. All of the ingredients cooked just right, they gave generous portions of meat and seafood, and everything seasoned perfectly. This tasted like it he hibachi mean to end all hibachi meals.I honestly have no idea why there were so few other diners in this restaurant. Perhaps hibachi just isn’t popular anymore. Just by taste alone, this place should have a line out the door on a Saturday night.If you are in the mood for hibachi, give this place a try!!!
Love Chubby Salmon. All my meals have been amazing but don’t go by the hours listed because I drove to dinner Saturday night and had to leave when they told us they were closing. It was 8:50 pm and closing time is listed as 10 pm.
Got the hibachi and a crab rangoon appetizer, the rice was bland and they over cooked all the protein and vegetables. The crab rangoon was literally just cream cheese, texture and tast., I think their intention was that you dip it into the sauce and not notice but, meh.
The best hibachi restaurant around! Quality food and great service
Food was decent good portions definitely eat here again
