I wanna start by saying the food was really good big thank you to the chefs! Our waitress was friendly and attentive however it did take a bit before she actually came to the table to talk to us. After she took our order we had our food in 10 min which was awesome. Again thank you to the chefs. Ok so here is where our problem was the older white woman who was the hostess is not very inviting she was rude without being a jerk and I felt like she is age racist the place was full of older people who she was very friendly with but the younger people she delt with while I was there she was a bit unfriendly with. Maybe she was having a bad day not sure ? overall just food based the place is really good.
The staff was very friendly and the service was very punctual. The only problem I had was that I got home fries and they were very heavily salted which I couldn't eat. But the bacon was crisp and the and the eggs were scrambled just right. This is definitely a place that you want to go to for breakfast.
Be cautious when paying with a credit card. They bring a hand held device to the table and automatically add a tip without telling or asking you.We went there for breakfast this past Monday. When it was time for us to pay we found out we had $25 dollars in rewards which we applied to our bill. Our server then charged our card on the hand held device. Afterwards we realized our card was charged the original check amount. The manager came over and fixed it and told us that the device didn't update to the discounted check amount when our server charged the card. We left a cash tip not knowing that a tip was automatically added to the credit card. This is not right! The customer should be able to choose what amount to tip or leave a cash tip. We will not be going back.
The food at pancake house is very good, don't get me wrong. But the service was barely average and you'd better be paying with cash or you're in for a bad surprise. Our server was slow and NOT very friendly at all. She was abrupt and not accommodating. We felt ignored and unwanted. Upon finishing our breakfast we received the check and used a $25 gift card to use towards the bill. Our credit card was processed without using the $25 credit. The manager then came over and said not to worry he would take care of it. He told me my credit card would be charged the balance only. I put a line through the tip line and left a 15% tip in cash. Last night I looked at my credit card account and he had indeed taken the $25 gift card off the bill, but they AUTOMATICALLY ADDED a 20% tip to the payment even though I put a line through the tip line. THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW!! When I called the restaurant I was informed that they automatically add a tip to all credit card purchases. I WILL NOT EVER BE RETURNING TO THE ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE AGAIN!!
Great food and even better service. On a moderately busy Saturday, the hospitality was top notch, I talked to the manager, every server, and even the cook in my time here. Really feels like home style cooking surrounded by family ❤️. Thank you Paulina and Taylor for brightening my experience!
I’m thoroughly confused about these 5 star reviews..This place is gross. I saw the high ratings before going in and was sure it was popular for some reason. I couldn’t find that reason. The floors are sticky, nothing is clean, the ceiling is covered in mold. Then there’s the food. The omelette ($15 btw), came out unrecognizable, and I’m not sure how an omelette could look like anything else? It looked like a calzone. Overcooked. Dried out. Even simple over easy eggs did not taste ok. I’m kicking myself for spending $65 on a small family breakfast. I asked the waitress how their B&G is before ordering-I saw the doubt in her face even when she shrugged and said it’s ok. That was optimistic. I can’t describe the taste. Never again. To top it off, when leaving, a person in our family immediately got sick and threw up in the parking lot. I’m seriously bummed. I was hopeful but now I’m just completely turned off. Please be cautious.
Disappointed. Employees acted like they didn't want to be there. Wish they could make a real juevos rancheros. Over priced. Pancakes didn't even come with scoop of butter. They never offered other flavors of syrup. Ruined nice childhood memories. Won't be going back.
About a 30 minute wait for 6 on Sunday, while this is a lengthy wait, the manager came and explained he would set us up a table to get us in sooner. The food and staff made our wait worthwhile. Our server Alice was both knowledgeable and great with my children. She saved us a couple bucks by combining our sides into a meal, knew her menu, and answered our questions. We will be back to this location as soon as possible!
My son and I were in Jensen Beach visiting my father and we had breakfast at the Original Pancake House on Saturday December 11th. As you can imagine it was very busy , but we were very fortunate that Stacy was our server. She was taking care of 5 or 6 people at the counter plus several booths. Stacy was very friendly, and it was like poetry in motion to see her in action. The breakfast was excellent, but it was Stacy who made my day. Ask for her and you will see what I mean! Dave
Best pancakes we’ve found around here
