Cute little place tucked away in Nettles Island Marina! Across the street from Shuckers! Stop at the security gate and proceed to the Restaurant! Great food and great service! Options to sit inside in the A/C or on the covered Patio! Yummy Fish Tacos and Crab Cakes! Got some Peanut Butter Pie and Key Lime Pie to go that were both yummy!!
The food is amazing. Everything is very fresh. Great staff Beautiful view and very affordable. Just tell the gate (nettles island) you're going to the restaurant. Open to public
My wife and I had lunch today at Sauder's. I've gone there for years. For my wife a Mahi sandwich and Grouper platter for me. My wife's Mahi was blackened though it was more seasoning that blackening. The portion was very small. Her meal was less than fair. Not much on flavor and a touch fishy. My Grouper was fried and was horrible. I don't normally order fish fried. I am a past commercial fisherman and a present offshore fisherman. I know how fish should look and taste. The Grouper was very fishy and was not fresh. The breading was more like a fried frozen shell. On both orders we had a side of fries that were good, but a very small portion. My Grouper was $25 (ouch! I didn't ask) and my wife's Mahi was $14. Definitely not worth it. I told the waitress the chef should smell my fish and she said the Grouper normally has a strong fragrant smell. Oh well. That's it for Sauder's. It's got a cool location.
This little place at the marina has great homemade food and great service. A real hidden gem. Yummy crab cakes
Excellent food, service, vibe! Server Carolyn was terrific. The food was extraordinary. Couldn’t believe the chef actually made a green bean a work of art! Only problem,The restaurant is relatively small, and very popular, so getting a reservation can only be done if you call at least a day ahead of time. Can’t wait for all the snowbirds to go home so we can have this beautiful little place all to ourselves!
Lovely atmosphere. Best scallops I’ve ever eaten! Had phenomenal service by Sam. She recommended the best peanut butter pie….not only the best of its kind, but the best pie I’ve ever eaten period. Nice little place on the marina so the boats make the ambience extra special! Will be back.
In the area for spring break. We showed up as a party of nine without a reservation (they do take reservations). They were able to accommodate us and provide us with great food and excellent service. A very enjoyable evening for our group of adults and kids.
Found this place thru the Entertainment Book. Had coupons for BOGO. There were 3 of us. I was not allowed to take advantage of my coupon unless I ordered 2 meals and ate both of them right there. No take out allowed. I was told come back next time and bring someone with me?? Ok we ordered our meals. The couple I was with were served at least 8 minutes before my meal arrived. You would expect my meal to be hot but it was lukewarm at best which did not make sense. The couple I was with had ordered glasses of wine. She is a Chardonnay drinker. First glass was ok but as she drank the 2d glass, she said it was not the same. Her husband tasted it and agreed it was much sweeter but when it was brought up to the waitress she said it was poured out of the same bottle? We are not people to make a scene or look for anything, so we dropped the issue. Will not be returning there. Overpriced for average food. The owner stopped by the table and was no help and asked about food when I said it was served lukewarm, he asked if I let the waitress know. Honestly I was hungry and my dinner companions were almost half way through their meals given the time difference in which we were served I’m not impressed and won’t be back Side note- my friends who also had a coupon but were allowed to use it, did have leftovers and were allowed to get a take out container. I guess you have to be a couple. This place has no room for singles
We ate there is evening and while the food was tasty, it was not exceptional. We had the crab cake for an appetizer single small cake for around $15.00. We had the parm encrusted Mahi Mahi and the Blackened Mahi Mahi. The blackened portion was about half of the parm encrusted. The total bill for two prior to tip was $86. Which included two beers. Unfortunately we left hungry.
This restaurant is old Florida at its finest. The place is casual in a marina. You can sit inside or outside on the dock . The view is of the marina. The food is exceptional! This food was high end. We had grouper bites and crab cakes for appetizer. Both great as crab cake not all bread crumbs and the grouper bites were lightly breaded and so good. Entree was the best; special brown butter scallops with curried rice and fresh green beans. Excellent is an understatement. Dessert was home made Key lime pie, peanut butter pie or coconut cake. All delicious! Try them it’s worth it so much better than the cookie cutter places in Florida
