after the checkin and first stay at the hotel we decided to eat at drift kitchen and bar. the service stuff was like at the hotel: very kind and helpful. I can recommend this restaurant for dinner...if you spend at least one night or ore at jensen check out this restaurant! I would recommend to book a table to be sure to get a place at the time you wish.
Our experience in this place was simply amazing. I don’t know what was better, the extremely delicious food or the charming people that work there. Redd is marvelous; we were a big party trying to get in together with split reservations, he wonderfully dealt with it and we got our table. Also Susana our server, was very kind and professional. And as if all this wasn't enough, the restaurant is gorgeous and has a lovely view. Thank you Drift Kitchen & Bar for so pleasant evening!
Great overall experience. The restaurant has a really nice esthetic and beautiful views of the beach. Our server was attentive & friendly and the food and cocktails were really good. I highly recommend.
Food was excellent. Nice atmosphere. However, not the best server so that does affect the evening.
Beautiful hotel inside and out in great location.Eat inside or outside. Inside is richly decorated and the bar is definitely upscale.Although reservation was for inside when asked they provided outside table overlooking pool and beach.Menu is well balanced offering good choices of wholesome food. The lobster bisque was excellent as was the salad.Service was excellent. My wife loved the flat breads she complimented to the waiter and he brought more to table.Drinks are priced well considering the atmosphere.We went back twice and will go again
Scallops and crab cakes are good. Everything else is sub par resort food. Our ration of bread was laughable.. we had two small end pieces. Our plate had significantly less bread than other tables. Only got one small glass of water which we had to ask for.We had 2 minutes with the drink menu. After we ordered drinks, we never saw it again. Our server couldn’t of been less interested in providing any form of hospitality. When we asked for her opinion on two different dishes, she rudely replied “well they’re different.” We were rushed through our meal. It’s a shame this place gets good reviews.
We went here as we were staying at the resort. We had 530 reservations and did not get seated till 545, seated everyone else in front of us with the hostess saying she just put someone in the area she was going to seat us and didn’t want to overwhelm the server? When we did get seated the only thing on the table was a salt and pepper shaker. No napkins, utensils, water, nothing. Service was very disjointed by our server who was very nice but time in between her coming to our tables with drinks, taking our orders, was just too long. We asked with the specials were and she had no idea. For such a nice restaurant they really need to do a better job with service. Someone should be setting and cleaning the tables, someone else should be on water duty, someone else should be on drink duty, someone else should be on food duty, etc. I understand the food service industry got hit hard with Covid and they’re still not an ample supply of servers out there but in this case it seemed like there were plenty of servers standing around. As for the food, it was phenomenal. We had the crab cake appetizer, homemade past dinners and it was amazing. Ingredients tasted fresh, flavor was through the roof. It was so good the next night we ordered room service from The Drift as we spent the day on the water and was exhausted from being out. We got salads, burgers, also fantastic. So, if you don’t have overly high expectations for service and have plenty of time to chill, I highly recommend. If you’re super uptight and want to be waited on hand and foot on the drop of a dime, probably not the time to visit. Again though, the food to die for.
Dinner with family. The decor is understated but offers a fabulous view over the pool to the ocean beyond. Food was very good, service better than average, BUT: every beverage is served in plastic. A nice bottle of wine is nearly ruined by the feel and smell of plastic. Aside from the ecological disaster this presents, who thought it was a good idea?
One of our favorites. Beautiful bar/restaurant with outstanding ocean views. We love the varied menu...pizza, pastas, and elegant entrees.
I'm sorry to say that this restaurant was a big disappointment! Beautiful place and great location, I definitely was expecting great things. A couple weeks ago I went here to celebrate my birthday. Our group was of 10 people which we all understand large groups might not always be the easiest clients. However, the server was rude for no reason everytime we ask for something or even just tried to speak, like letting her know how the check was going to be split. When a person ask for a traw she came back to throw a bunch of strws at the table while keep on walking. I felt like I was in a fast food restaurant during rush hour. Besides the bad service, the food was not the best there was no flavor to it, and the cocktails definitely need an upgrade very simple drinks with barely any alcohol. Over all the service, nor food or drinks are at the scale level you would expect from this type of restaurant. I don't think I would go back.
