Never knew of this place and it is a big restaurant with plenty of seating inside and outside and different sections. Great tranquilo view overlooking the river. I had the Togarashi Tuna which comes in beautiful presentation and it was good but I wish it had more flavor for it was a bit bland. But let me jump to the Tiramisu which was really delicious. Soft texture and I could have devoured 5 of those.
Haven't been for years and it's just as good as I remembered it! We had coconut shrimp, shrimp mac, bisque, and the salad bar! ? How nostalgic!Cary was our server, he was great! Was even considerate enough to write down the name of the moscato that I enjoyed so much.Thank-you for taking such good care of us!See you next trip!
The service was really nice. Drinks were okay, nothing special (disappointing for a bar). Salad bar seemed fresh but not worth the 15bucks. What really disappointed me was the same concern the other customer had: on Saturday we paid roughly 140 bucks for 3 people and the 3 of us fell really sick. My mother in law started feeling sick a couple of hours later, I felt ill Sunday morning and my husband had to go to Urgent care with a 102 fever that wouldn’t break and waves of nausea. I thought the place was lovely but won’t probably come back.
I haven’t had such an enjoyable overall experience at a restaurant since before covid. The atmosphere was incredible. We sat outside right on the water and couldn’t have had a better table! Our server Renee was so personable and really made our experience a 5 star one. It was the best service we have received in a long time. The food was also delicious. Everything we had was fresh and incredible. I’m so happy we found this gem and we will definitely be back. Thank you Renee for a great dining experience!
Each and every time we go to the Dolphin Bar, we have a great experience. Great food, great service and fantastic atmosphere. Last night was no exception. The staff was wonderful in hosting my husband’s surprise 50th birthday get together in every way. I couldn’t have asked for more. Kudos to the managers and the entire Dolphin Bar staff!
We had yet another wonderful experience here last night. We brought a couple who had not been here before and they loved it. Ambience, service and food were wonderful. Waitstaff attentive and friendly, although they ran out of haddock at 5:15 pm. That said, Chandler was our “hostess” walking us to our table. Her friendliness, good nature and overall “niceness” literally made our evening. Congratulations to The Dolphin for attracting staff like Chandler.
We came for lunch after our fifth grade grandson spent the morning in standardized testing. We had to rise early and drive to the testing site. When he came out his first word was food! We immediately drove to the Dolphin Bar and Shrimp House in Jenson Beach, Florida. Noah chose their half pound brisket burger and fries and was pleased with his meal. The burger was delicious and cooked to perfection. His grandfather had southern fried shrimp and again was very pleased with presentation and taste. And last but not least I ordered my signature dish, after having it once I have never ordered anything else….the escargot with extra parmesean cheese and toasted baguette slices. Beyond compare and absolutely delicious….and the coffee was fresh and delicious. Three perfect meals, how can you go wrong?
No masks in the kitchen. no hand sanitizer....it'like they are trying to kill off their customers. The wait staff caters to the old gummer style of dining you have going on here. The wait staff for us didnt know how to do a proper wine tasting and serve. Thats kind of messed up. You kind of go for the view but the place is kind of a Ponderosa of seafood. Oh and the salad bar is a petri dish. I am giving two stars to be generous.
Really loved our food, great atmosphere, wonderful service. Brian the manager, was so great to accommodate our large party of 18. This historic restaurant is really fun! Our server was Zack, he offered us the best service I have ever experienced. We ate outside under the stars, just 18 of us, it was like a private dinner with fantastic service! Stuffed shrimp were delicious and so was the shrimp and grits. I highly recommend this place. Very good prices too! It was a special night!
Great spot we dyed here twice on our vacation they have great outdoor covered area looking out at the intercoastal, we were lucky enough to get to eat outside twice did make reservations. I could’ve just had the salad bar it’s $15 alone or seven dollars with your entrée, My husband ordered the swordfish was good he thought it could be a larger fillet, I ordered a special with shredded beef and rice huge portion ! But cannot forget the best ever salad bar ! Amazing , there always filling when items get low !
