The ONLY place I go for cakes! Ice cream, smice cream lol this is so much better. This is the chocolate strawberry. I've also had the saw cake but with chocolate cherry (yum) the other is a caramel with I think Heath bar? I can't remember I've had a lot of cakes from here over the last 2 years and they are ALL amazing!
Edited review: the owner got in touch with us and was able to clearly explain why accommodations could not be met, and made it right by welcoming us back in to give them another try. Service was 100% better when we returned. The frozen custard is always on point!We had a bad experience at this Whit’s. We have a child with ASD who can not eat ice cream. We asked to just purchase the cookies as we do at the location in Mandarin( who have never told us they could not accommodate) and were told they could not accommodate. My daughter then asks for her ice cream with marshmallows on a cone and was told the same thing. Then before we were even done ordering she totaled us up and basically cut us off from finishing our order. As if we weren’t already disappointed, we asked for a banana split with no cherries as one of our children is highly allergic and guess what... there were cherries on it! Instead of listening to your customers, this cashier was more focused on telling us what she couldn’t do for us. We will never be going back to this location and will opt for a further drive to Mandarin for better customer service!
If you like frozen custard and you're in Mandarin, this is the place to go! For those of you who don't know, custard is very similar to ice cream, but it has eggs in the mix. That's what gives it it's rich and delicious flavor. The chocolate, vanilla and the flavor of the day, are all made fresh daily. They have a new flavor every day, but I'm still waiting, for about a year now, for them to make pistachio custard.
Amazing custard. Healthy portions. Definitely will be back!
Here is what I learned on my first visit. The small portion is far more than I can eat at one sitting. The add-ons are wonderful. Overall this is too good to be nearby. I will try not to partake often. But that will be a chore.
