I've known about Vale for a while and decided on a whim to try it this week. The food is fantastic. I thought Chipotle was really the only good place to get healthy FRESH food on the go, but no, Vale is even better in my opinion. I've been multiple times this week already and get something different every time. Healthy has never tasted so good. The cold press juices are awesome as well (they sell out quick). Highly recommend! I'm definitely a new regular.
It's a good, quick option for food that is on the healthy side. The turkey meatballs are great when they're not sold out and I like being able to customize my bowl depending on my mood. They are often out of stuff. It's like they don't anticipate how much food they need routinely. It has been this way for a long time. Today I didn't get the kale because they were out of it and they were out of all of the base greens. The other thing that's not necessarily a knock, but is for us is that every protein has some level of spice. Normally, I love that, but I can't really get food for my toddler there. I have a high spicy food tolerance so pre-baby me loved it. It's just not convenient for the little one.
This food is probably great when you order in person, but ordering my dinner online seems to have been a challenge. Ordered through Uber Eats. The restaurant forgot to add balsamic tomatoes to my bowl. Worse, the restaurant or the delivery driver seem to have forgotten my drink [“My drink!? My Diet Dr Kelp!? Don’t tell me that you forgot my drink!!”]And lastly, I did not like the flavor of the braised beef. I was expecting savory beef, strong beef flavor hint of onion like we do it in the upper-mid-west, more savory than spice. Vale’s braised beef however has some tomato tang, is sweet, and also has a bit of a peppery kick (?). Tasty in its own right, but not what I was expecting, and totally did not go with how I had outfitted the rest of my bowl (clashing flavors), thus nearly ruining it.On a positive note, all of the ingredients were cooked perfectly.
I used to love the Food here. I would drive miles to get there. The last couple of visits were trash. The food was horrible to say the least. They have added so much salt that it’s not edible. The Chef has turned a healthy option eatery to Trying to taste like Soul Food Bistro. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. Even during the pandemic they had a long lunch line. Now barely anybody frequents anymore…SAD
The food is tasty but that's it. The customer service sucks and although it says 9:30pm close time. I showed up at 9:15pm and the doors were locked with the staff cleaning up. This is quick food and You should be able to grab at least til 9:20pm. I could understand if I showed up at 9:29pm... like dang!!
The food was so tasty! And there's no shortage of options. Come hungry, leave nourished. It's alil pricey but I'll give Vale a pass bc of inflation. The servers seemed really bummed out, not one smile in the place, I hope Vale is treating them right.? I'll definitely be back though.
I ordered via Uber Eats. Perhaps my experience would have been more favorable had I visited the restaurant directly. It too UE 2 hours to deliver. Despite this, my bowl was tasty but a little too salty. My biggest issue was with the acai bowl. It was pitifully low on toppings compared to every bowl I have gotten elsewhere. I even paid for extra. For $13, it was not at all what I was expecting. The acai mixture was so sickeningly sweet, I could not even eat it. The fruit should stand on its own but it was way over sweetened (and completely melted). I would NOT order the acai bowl again. All in all, this was far from a $40 meal.
Every dish is flavor packed and extremely fulfilling. Some times the service is amazing and others it’s been a tad, meh, but the food is freaking amazing and deserves a 5. I’ll just grab it and go ?

Great food, HORRIBLE customer service from the girls working the line. One girl with glasses and a Mickey Mouse hoodie stood there holding her phone staring into space as we waited to order. She then proceeded to have her back turned to us even when I asked for help. Disappointed.
