Visiting Jacksonville and found this place online. While sitting at the bar I heard someone say that they had a new chef at the restaurant and that the food was much better than before. I can say that it didn’t disappoint. The service was also good.I had the fried catfish and grits. Only I would add is more of the sauce they put on top, but the bartender brought me extra. I went during the week so I didn’t wait and there was plenty of street parking. I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

I will definitely return. I was afraid of the wait time for dine in, so I called in and ordered. I ordered the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and 2 orange juice drinks. EVERYTHING was AWESOME!!!! I did not get the chance for a photo of the chicken and waffles but the chicken was good and juicy and cooked perfectly. My only recommendation is for more syrup in to go orders, but I will be back!

This brunch and dine-in experience was Beautiful Our Server, Nae, treated us well. myself and sisters and cousin enjoyed every bit of it. ❤️‍?Oh Yeah! The food was amazing and so was our drinks. See you soon.

It was okay. We asked for waffle to be extra crispy when we ordered. It was not delivered iwth our food, in fact we finished eating the other food by the time I got it. And it was soggy when delivered. Then taken back to redo. By the time we got it again, I decided to just take the chicken & waffles home. But our server never asked about the chicken. The menu said chicken tenders, so I was quite surprised when I bit into it and hit a bone! Apparently they were breaded wings. :/I think the restraunt over all is doing better. We've ordered our food to go several times the past few weeks and were very happy. I think it may have been more of a server issue. I like the new menu, the cosmosa was super cool, & the grits bowl & omelet we had were very good. It just seemed like she was a little scattered, disorganized & not so attentive.Chef & management stopped by several times & another server noticed we sat for a bit and took our drink order & went to find our server. Also, masks seem to be up to server. Most were wearing, but ours was not, so I was a little uncomfortable at the beginning when she kept leaning over super close to me, but I also don't like folks in my personal space as a general rule.

First time visiting this restaurant and it won't be my last. The food is AMAZING! I ordered the chef special omelet with a side of gouda grits and a biscuit. The grits were the best that I've had in my entire life, even better than my mothers. The chef special omelet contained lobster, shrimp, onion and cherry tomatoes topped with a remoulade sauce. I wouldn't have imagined those flavors pairing well together but it was an explosion of flavor. The chef is a New Orleans native and was visiting the tables speaking with the patrons making sure they were satisfied and the food was to their liking. This is what I call customer service. I am recommending this place to everyone. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Me and my daughter went because of the awesome reviews. I drop money because I want to try everything…got the bottle…it was funnnnn mixing and making your own mimosas. We got the shrimp and grits with salmon and oxtail and grits. Could not eat it all. We warm up food. I promise you it warmed up like the folks had just made it.

Food was superb, their always busy but when the food is great I don't expect nothing less.

Good afternoon!.. I come to this restaurant at least once a week and I'm always bringing someone along because the food usually is very good well today I decide to bring my sister.. this was her first time visiting the restaurant waited about close to an hour then once the food got to the table we ordered waffles and chicken the chicken was extremely burnt not only was our was burnt but other customers had complained. spoke with the manager named Sarah... She had a very nonchalant attitude wasn't pleasant to speak with I was very happy that the waitress that we had she was an excellent waitress as we were walking out customers was asking us did we have a problem also?.. because their food was not good we proceeded to tell them yes we did as we got outside we were speaking to customers about it the manager Sarah open the door and announced you all are not welcome here anymore wow really I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER BECAUSE APPARENTLY THIS YOUNG LADY DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS ??

Was visiting Jacksonville and heard about this spot. The wait was crazy on Dec. 31st. ( 1.5 hours at 11:30am). We waited and it was well worth it. Being that it was one of the busiest weekends of the year they had run out of Oxtails. Oh how I was disappointed. Our waiter recommended the Shrimp and Grits with a piece of Salmon! The flavor was amazing and the the Gouda grits were on point. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the Jax Area.

Chef Steve was incredible. Voodoo balls and fried green tomatoes were awesome!
