I brought my own cup and asked before ordering if I could get the smoothie in my cup to avoid styrofoam & single use plastic. I was told that was fine by the cashier, then the employee making my drink said she could make it, give it to me (in the styrofoam cup), and I'd pour it in my own cup. I told her I no longer wanted the smoothie. She had already made it, so of course I took it since I had already paid and the plastic was already used. Considering Tropical Smoothie used to have their own reusable cup, I'm not sure why this was such an issue. I will not support a company that cares so little about the environment especially when I provided an easy way for them to avoid styrofoam without them spending anymore money.
I went through the drive thru today and sadly the service wasn’t great overall. I had ordered two smoothies and an turkey bacon ranch. The two smoothies came through in time and was perfectly fine. The sandwich on the other hand was messy and seemed to be thrown into the bag without proper wrap. The workers also seemed to have taken quite a long time for the one sandwich and usually I would be alright with it because it gets busy sometimes, but the fact that my sandwich was just thrown into the bag without proper wrap was just disappointing. Not only was this a problem but, they also took my tip when I declined to give in any while paying with my card. The first time I thought it was an accident on my part, but the 2nd time I re-checked and made sure they wouldn’t but they ended up taking my tip anyways when I said no. For anyone who’s looking forward to coming here, just makes sure to be careful when paying with card because your money may be taken for extra tip.
I was trying to place an order of smoothies and I spoke to Jessica on the phone who presented herself as the manager. Upon explaining that I don’t have their app and I am currently driving with a vehicle full of small children, she still refused to take my to go order over the phone, despite offering to pay for it ahead of time. The staff is super rude. Do yourself a favor and go to another place or a smoothie king.
Very disappointing. Operating tonight via drive thru only, as dining room closed. Thus, drive thru backed up and so they're throwing food orders together, literally. But, not before asking me "if i wanted to tip them", before running my card! Completely unacceptable to verbally solicit tips!! Went to take wrap out of bag and wrap wasn't wrapped up fully and one half fell out & all over the car seat.Additionally, not all items were on either of the wraps ordered. Very disappointing experience. Not your regular tropical smoothie.And manager/owner: stop letting your staff verbally solicit tips...it's not appropriate and certainly not the tropical smoothie way.
I love tropical smoothie. I have been into MANY tropical smoothies all around town. I have never had an issue placing an order, inside. We walked in to place an order. A young lady was talking with two of her friends when she asked if we were picking up an order. When we said no, she said we had to go through the drive thru, because they were "short staffed", but yet, she could stand around talking. We went through the drive thru, there were 4 cars in front of us and it took forever. When we were at the call box, no one spoke to us. We had to pull up to the window to order. A different young lady took just my order, and not my boyfriend's. While we waited, we noticed she put on the headset to get the next car's order. When we finally got our food, my boyfriend's wrap was cold. He took it back in, to find the employees just hanging around.This was super disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite locations, but I will not be returning.
I used to be a regular Tropical Smoothie customer-as in 2-3 times a week but for the past few months, every time I go my smoothie is not completely blended. Today there were LARGE chunks of ice in my smoothie. I don't understand how it's so inconsistent.
After waiting 20+ minutes in the drive through line we get home to realize that 3 out of our 4 wraps were WRONG! Very disappointed and frustrated that pretty much the entire order was wrong . No attention to detail in modifications that are requested. My son is ALERGIC to cheese which we asked them not to put on his order and still received it in his wrap ??♀️ There goes his lunch. My husband and I don’t eat dairy and both of them also had cheese in them. Makes no sense …
This location used to be my go to 2-3 times a week heading to work. However, over the last 6 months it's gone down hill and I rarely go anymore. Drive thru getting slower and slower. Last couple of times I would have to wait till the car at the pay window left before my order was taken. A 1 smoothy order with 2 extras has been wrong more than right. And I order the same smoothy every time but 4 out of 5 times it's a different price. Like 4 different prices.
I am a regular tropical smoothie drinke. So I made a online order for pick up at 3:36. I walked up to the door it was closed in the lobby and paper said to use the drive through. I made online order for a reason for quick pick up and go about my day what I have to do. Did not get into the window until 3:56. 20 mins later my drink not that cold. He stated that pick up can go inside but there no paper stating pick up only. It said lobby closed drive through only. If they wrote on paper said picked up only I would have gotten it and be gone about my day. It ridiculous and unprofessional. I’ll be taking my business someone else and give smoothie king a shot.
Good smoothies here and quick service. I stop here on the way back from taking my kids to school. I can get in and get out and head downtown to work without too much of a hassle. The Healthnut is my go to smoothie
